Davis Senior High School Daily Bulletin

MENU DHS:
Breakfast Served Daily:  Cereal w/Graham Cracker, Breakfast Pizza, Assorted Breakfast Sandwiches, Scones, Breakfast Burrito, Chicken & Cheese Quesadilla, Pancakes w/ Sausage, Assorted Muffins, Chicken & Biscuit Slider, Yogurt Parfait w/Graham Cracker.

  *   Grab & Go Hot Chocolate & Muffin & Fruit Cinnamon Rolls.
Lunch: Meatball Sandwich w/Cajun Fries or Baked Orange Chicken w/Brown Rice & Veggies
ATHLETICS: Interested in Davis High School Baseball? Come to an informational meeting tomorrow at 7:00pm in the DSHS All Student Center. Meet new varsity coach Justin McCray and other coaching staff and hear about the upcoming season

ACADEMICS/OPORTUNITIES/EVENTS: AP Exams are $99 per test. Online sales are now until 10/11. https://user.totalregistration.net/PSAT/050730 .The PSAT/NMQST is Saturday, 10/19. The cost is $25.00. There are a limited number of tests available. If you feel this is a financial hardship, please contact your counselor. Juniors only sign-ups are now up 'til 10/1 and sophomores sign-ups from now until 10/1
ATTENDANCE: If you are planning to visit a College Campus -Only Seniors will receive a maximum of two days as excused Absences. What do you have to do to get absences excused?
*         Students need to submit to the attendance office documentation 3 days prior to the college visit.
*          Students need to provide an appropriate documentation from the College or University they are visiting.
*          College visits needs to be pre-approved by an administrator.  Questions come to the Attendance office for clarification.

COUNSELING: Hey Seniors: Are you applying to UC's? If you want some help completing the application or encouragement to set started on it, Counselors are available for assistance this Wednesday Sept. 25 during 6th period and Thursday Sept 26 during 7th period. Come to the Library west conference room.

Committees: DHS Site Council is looking for dedicated students to join our committee. The Site Council consists of Principal McHale, staff, parents, and students. The Site Council discusses ways to improve student achievements and supports new programs. Site Council meets on the 3rd Thursday of each month from 3:30-5:00. If you would like to help shape the future of our school, please pick up an application from Mr. McHale at the Front Desk in the Main office by Monday, 09/23. Applications are due by noon on Tuesday, 09/24.

ACTIVITIES: HEY HEY BLUE DEVIL DANCERSDo you like jazz?? Hip hop?? The Cleveland cavaliers? If you said yes to any of these come see Mrs. Gardias in room PA8 to sign up for a dance workshop hosted by the choreographer for the Cleveland Cavaliers dance team. The workshops are offered on Saturday October 19th
9-10am intermediate hip hop,10:30-11:30am jazz,1:30-2:30pm beginning hip hop
classes are one hour and $20 each and all proceeds benefit the Davis high advanced treble choir
spaces are limited so sign up soon!!!!

CLUBS: DHS! This is the last week of NHS registration. Come to S-12 any day @ lunch with $5, an unofficial transcript, and your hours log if you're a returning member. Join one of the largest volunteer organizations on campus! Registration ends Friday!

Interested in math beyond what's taught in the classroom? DHS Math club is having its first meeting on Thursday 09/26 @ lunch in N-6.

CAREERS: If you would like to learn more about the United States Navy, come to the quad at lunch on Wednesday September 25 to speak with a representative from the Navy.

Colleges visiting the career Center this week include University of Hawaii, Oregon State, Rutgers, Whitworth and more! Go on Naviance or come to the Career Center in the ASC to see the list and sign up for upcoming college visits.
