ACADEMICS/OPORTUNITIES/EVENTS: Davis High School Counseling is hosting our annual UC Application Information Night for seniors and senior families tonight, at 7pm in the Richard Brunelle Theater.  A representative from UC admissions will be there to discuss applying to UCs and to the admissions process, and will be available for questions at the end.  Hope to see you there tonight!

AP Exams are $99 per test. Online sales are now until 10/11. https://user.totalregistration.net/PSAT/050730 .The PSAT/NMQST is Saturday, 10/19. The cost is $25.00. There are a limited number of tests available. If you feel this is a financial hardship, please contact your counselor. Juniors only sign-ups are now up 'til 10/1 and sophomores sign-ups from now until 10/1
ATTENDANCE: If you are planning to visit a College Campus -Only Seniors will receive a maximum of two days as excused Absences. What do you have to do to get absences excused?
*         Students need to submit to the attendance office documentation 3 days prior to the college visit.
*          Students need to provide an appropriate documentation from the College or University they are visiting.
*          College visits needs to be pre-approved by an administrator.  Questions come to the Attendance office for clarification.

COUNSELING: Hey Seniors: Are you applying to UC's? If you want some help completing the application or encouragement to set started on it, Counselors are available for assistance this Wednesday Sept. 25 during 6th period and Thursday Sept 26 during 7th period. Come to the Library west conference room.

Committees:  Join in the fun and help organize this year's Grad Night event for all Davis' graduating seniors.  Grad Night will take place on June 12 starting at 9pm at Emerson Junior High.  We need volunteers now to help create this wonderful all-night party.  There are several Steering Committee and Sub-committee positions available (food, activities, various operational roles) as well as decorator positions to transform Emerson Junior High into an amazing metropolis for our kids. ACTIVITIES: HEY HEY BLUE DEVIL DANCERS! Do you like jazz?? Hip hop?? The Cleveland cavaliers? If you said yes to any of these come see Mrs. Gardias in room PA8 to sign up for a dance workshop hosted by the choreographer for the Cleveland Cavaliers dance team. The workshops are offered on Saturday October 19th from 9-10am intermediate hip hop,10:30-11:30am jazz,1:30-2:30pm beginning hip hop
classes are one hour and $20 each and all proceeds benefit the Davis high advanced treble choir
spaces are limited so sign up soon!!!!

CLUBS: Like the outdoors and meeting new people? Join Wilderness Club, held every Monday in Mr. Barclay's room N-1A. First meeting is September 30th be there or be square.

DHS! This is the last week of NHS registration. Come to S-12 any day @ lunch with $5, an unofficial transcript, and your hours log if you're a returning member. Join one of the largest volunteer organizations on campus! Registration ends Friday!

Did you know that one blood donation can save up to 3 lives? The Davis High Blood Drive will be Tuesday October 8th. Lunch time sign-ups for the blood drive continue today.

CAREERS: The Youth Leadership Davis program is offering an internship at Davis Interfaith Rotating Winter Homeless Shelter, where you will develop leadership skills, personal growth and compassion.  Deadline to apply is October 1st Come to the Career Center for more information.
