Do you need a job this summer? The City of Sacramento Parks & Recreation Department is looking for high school students 16 years and older to work at Camp Sacramento near South Lake Tahoe this summer. SENIORS: March 2 is the deadline to apply for federal and state financial aid for college. Don't miss out on getting free money for college! If you have any questions about completing financial aid applications, come to the Career Center.
SENIORS: If you're planning to attend UC Davis, have a minimum GPA of 3.5, and you made money by working at a job during high school, you may qualify for the $13,789 Beeghly-Merritt Scholarship! The deadline to apply is April 1. Applications are now available in the Career Center.

Applications are now available to seniors interested in giving a speech during the 2016 Graduation Ceremony. Please ask Ms. Carmen Schnathorst for a Graduation Speech Application. The application and typewritten speech are due April 1, 2016 by 4p.m. Finalists will be invited to a live audition the week of April 11, 2016. Speakers will be chosen and notified by April 22, 2016.
Attention AP Students: AP exams are available for purchase in the Webstore now! $97 per test. No refunds, so purchase carefully. Stay tuned for more information, including dates for in person sales in March.
If you are a junior boy or junior girl interested in government, come to the Career Center to apply for the American Legion Boys State and Girls State all-expense paid summer programs. Students will actively participate in all phases of creating and running a working government. Those who apply must be strong academically, have leadership skills and an interest in community and government. Deadline to apply is February 12. Applications are available in the Career Center.
CLUBS: Are you interested in learning more about a TEDX event right here at DHS? Do you want to speak at or plan the event? Come to P-25 every Friday to learn more and help with the event!
Gender fluid refers to a gender which varies over time. Want to learn more and eat some free snacks? Come to the Gay-Straight Alliance meeting this Friday, 2/12 at lunch in Room L-20, Mr. Wheeler's room.
Attention all CSF members! CSF registration begins on Tuesday, February 16th and ends on Friday, February 26th, every day at lunch in front of Room P-13 (Ms. O'Brien's room).
