THE MEETING.  

PLEASE NOTE -- THIS MEETING IS AT THE Blanchard Room of the Davis Branch,
Yolo County Library at the location of 315 East 14th Street.  

This meeting will be held from 7PM to 8PM, but can possibly go on to 9PM.  

Please note that all Davis Democrat Club members are welcome to attend the
board meeting.  Usually, we have several guests, both members and
non-members, at these meetings.

Davis Democrat Club Board Meeting on Tuesday November 10,

             Davis Democratic Club Meeting Agenda 
                Tuesday, November 10, 7 pm - 8 pm 
     Place: Davis Branch, Yolo County Library in Davis.  
                     315 East 14th Street.

I.  Introduction and political humor (10 minutes)
        i.    Approval of Agenda  
        ii.   Approval of Minutes for past meetings as they are submitted 
              (Minutes from October Board Meeting.)  
               These minutes have been sent out to the list.
        iii.  Comments and issues from the Public and general members.
              a. From public for unscheduled presentations.
        iv.   Minutes and reports from other clubs and campus Democrats
              a. Specific report from the Woodland Club, Lyle S.
              b. Report from Yolo County Young Democrats, Lyle or Rich.
              c. Report from UCDavis Campus Democrats, Unknown.
              d. Report on the President's activities for the club, Arun Sen.
              e. Report on the October meeting of the YCDCC 
                 (Yolo County Democratic Central Committee.
              f. Final report on the Yolo County Headquarters in Woodland
                 (Kingsley Melton)

II.  Treasurer's Report (5 minute)

III. Report by Campaign Headquarters Committee (5 minutes)
        i.   Headquarters
        ii.  Election Night

IV.  Holiday Party (15 minutes)
        i.   Past history of event 
             (Board supplies food, supplementary food purchased, 
              raffle items, white wine only, etc)
        ii.  Chair for event selected.
        iii. Location for event.
        iv.  Preliminary list for event of food items brought by board members.

V.   Content of the Next Newsletter (10 minutes)
        i.    Report by newsletter committee
        ii.   Volunteer tasks
        iii.  Story ideas
        iv.   Announcement and articles that must go into the newsletter
               (Example is the statement asked for and passed at last board 
                meeting about $7500 donations to campaigns)

VI.  Proposals for future activities by the Club (15 minutes)
        i.    Establishment of a Development Committee (i.e. fundraising);
              First proposed event for Committee at Tanya Chalupa's home,
              if the club does this; event needs the following from Club:
                1. A dynamic speaker  
                2. A flyer circulated in the December issue of the newsletter 
                3. Press release in the Davis Enterprise
                4. Volunteers to sit at the door and collect money/checks
for the Club.
                5. A volunteer to help tend bar.
        ii.   Year round Head Quarters
        iii.  Establishment of a Community Outreach Committee

VI.  Preliminary discussion of January or February General Meeting (3 minute)
        i.   Choosing of Date or Dates
        ii.  Program 
             [choosing of chair and other details will be at December meeting]
