[OldNorth] OED: Neighborhood Meeting Thursday July 28th on Mixed Use Zone Amendments

All - There will be a neighborhood meeting for all neighbors
interested in proposed changes to the Mixed Use zoning language. As
you may know, the properties between the railroad tracks and the
alley west of I Street are planned to change from Commercial/Service
to Mixed Use, and there is a general idea that Mixed Use will serve
as a buffer zoning type between Commercial and residential, so these
changes potentially affect all living near the downtown. The
proposed language changes can be found in the staff report at :

Hello all,
City staff has been invited to the Old North Neighborhood Association's
monthly meeting next Thursday, July 28th to discuss the proposed Mixed
Use Zone Amendments. The meeting will be held at the Hattie Weber
Museum at 445 C Street between 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM. Any interested
neighborhood representatives from the Old East and University/Rice Lane
neighborhoods are also invited to attend.
The mayor, Ruth Asmundson, has agreed to continue the second reading of
the Mixed Use Amendments to the August 1st Council meeting to allow time
for the neighborhood meeting. Please note that the August 1st Council
meeting is a morning meeting and will begin at 8:30 AM.
