March 10, 2021<calendar:T2:March%203,%202021>

THIS DAY IN HISTORY: 1876-First speech transmitted by telephone.

ATHLETICS: Davis High Athletics, Davis Blue Devil Athletic Boosters and Healthy Davis Together have partnered to encourage our athletes to participate in weekly Covid-19 testing. Healthy Davis Together has provided stamp cards for use at their testing sites: Vet's Memorial Building, Mondavi, Davis Senior Center. Simply get a stamp each time you get tested and then return the card to your coach or to the Athletics Department when the card is filled up. Cards are available thru your DHS coaches or at the Davis High front office. Help us decrease the chance of community spread and get back to participating in sports faster!

9-12 grade athletes: For the latest info on Davis Senior High Athletics, please visit the website at https://dshs.djusd.net/athletics Please email head coaches for info on preseason conditioning plans. All athletes must be cleared with the DSHS Athletics Department before they may start participation. Register at www.athleticclearance.com<http://www.athleticclearance.com> and provide an updated signed/dated sports physical.

LIBRARY: All textbooks are distributed from the library main entrance by appointment only. Please visit https://dshs.djusd.net/academics/library/textbooks<https://dshs.djusd.net/academics/library/textbooks%20> for information and updates. Pickup is unattended (there will be no library staff at the table). Pickup times are Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays between 8:00 a.m. and noon, and Mondays through Thursdays from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Students may request a pickup time through the Textbook Pickup Schedule<https://dshs.djusd.net/academics/library/textbooks/textbook_pickup_schedule>. Students who have overdue items from Quarter 2 or earlier must return these items before receiving new items for Quarter 3.

Due to Covid protocols, the library must allow returned books to "detox" for up to three days before handling the items and checking them in. Questions?
