9-12 grade athletes:  For the latest info on Davis Senior High Athletics, please visit the website at https://dshs.djusd.net/athletics  Please email head coaches for info on preseason conditioning plans. All athletes must be cleared with the DSHS Athletics Department before they may start participation. LIBRARY: All textbooks are distributed from the library main entrance by appointment only. Pickup is unattended (there will be no library staff at the table). Pickup times are Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays between 8:00 a.m. and noon, and Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Students may request a pickup time through the Textbook Pickup Schedule<https://dshs.djusd.net/academics/library/textbooks/textbook_pickup_schedule>. Students who have overdue items from Quarter 1 or earlier must return these items before receiving new items for Quarter 3.
*Students should not expect to receive a new book at the same time they drop off/return an overdue book. Due to Covid protocols, the library must allow returned books to "detox" for up to three days before handling the items and checking them in.Questions? ACADEMICS/OPORTUNITIES/EVENTS: Davis Senior High School Open House 2021

We are proud to continue our annual event showcasing the best of DSHS.  This year's Open House is scheduled for February 25, 2021. Since we are unable to host our families in person, staff members are organizing videos, slide decks, and FAQs to introduce our courses and programs so that students are well-informed as they select their courses. All information will appear on our school's website at https://dshs.djusd.net for students and families to view. Our counselors will be available to answer your questions from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. Look for the meeting link on our website. We look forward to you being part of our Open House 2021.



Davis High School Orchestra Program Live Zoom Audition Requirements 2021-2022 Symphony Orchestra and Baroque Ensemble-All DHS Orchestra Auditions will be held over ZOOM from March 1st-5th. Auditions are for all incoming 10th grade students, continuing 11th grade students, and 12th grade students not currently in an audition group.

Advanced Placement Exams (AP) are $99 per exam. The AP Exam registration is a two-step process. Students must register at My AP and pay for the exam at Total Registration or Davis Blue Devil Web store.

CAREERS: Junior boys or junior girls interested in government, can now apply for the American Legion Boys State and Girls State virtual summer camps.  At the camps, students will actively participate in all phases of creating and running a working government. Those who apply must have leadership skills and an interest in the community and government. Deadline to apply is February 26. SENIORS:  March 2 is the deadline to submit your application for financial aid.  Submitting the application will ensure that you are considered for every type of financial aid available.  Go to www.fafsa.gov<http://www.fafsa.gov> to complete the FAFSA application.  Go to https://dream.csac.ca.gov to complete the CADAA application.

SENIORS:  If you would like free money for college, then you should apply for scholarships! Twenty-four local community scholarships are now being offered to seniors graduating from a Davis High school. Steps to College 2021 Bilingual and Binational University Fair Students and their families are invited to attend the Steps to College virtual fair hosted by the Consulate General of Mexico in Sacramento.  The fair will feature workshops on how to apply to college and access financial aid and scholarships.
