ATHLETICS:
Hey tennis players and parents! Please come to our informational meeting next Wednesday, May 22 at 5:00pm to learn more about the Davis High Girls' upcoming Fall tennis season. We will meet in the All Student Center on the DSHS campus.
Senior Athletes -Have you signed or plan to sign a letter of intent? DSHS Athletics would like to celebrate your accomplishments at our Annual Signing Day Recognition event on Tuesday, May 21st @ noon on the quad. Please pick up your signing day information form from the Athletic Secretary in the main administration building. To ensure all information is accurate and available for the presentation, please turn your form into Athletics by Friday May 17. Parents/family are invited to attend!
Sports Physical Clinic! Saturday, June 1st 8:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. Sutter Family Medicine 2030 Sutter Pl., Suite 2000. Athletes in grades 7-12 are encouraged to complete their sports physicals this spring for the 2019-20 school year. $20 donation benefits DSHS Athletics. ACADEMICS/OPORTUNITIES/EVENTS:
CAASPP TESTING: Attention students - Seniors and Juniors will take the CAASPP Science test on May 22 or May 23 during their Social Studies class. Sophomores will not test
Davis Senior High School will be hosting the CIF Sac Joaquin Section Masters Championships on Friday May 17. Please be advised that the stadium parking lot will be closed for the entire school day. St. James has graciously honored our request to use the lot off 14th street. We highly encourage all students to plan an alternate mode of transportation on this day. CLUBS:
"Attention car lovers! The Devil Day Car Show is coming! Hosted by the Davis Auto Tech Boosters and the DHS Auto Shop, the show will take place on the Quad, Wednesday, May 29, 8AM to 1PM. Pick up an application in O-3 or in the main office. Students and non-students may apply. First place winners will receive a $20 O'Reilly's gift card and free oil change from the DHS Auto Shop. Apps are due May 17. Get your application in now for the 2019 Devil Day Car Show!"
DHS Acadeca will be hosting its annual Trivia Nights, this Friday from 6-8 p.m. at the school library. Come spend a night full of Trivia about the 1960's health and pop culture, complete with prizes! Food will be provided. Admission is $5 for students, $7 for general, and teams are limited to five people.
Please come to the Social Climate Meeting tomorrow at lunch in the Library West Conference Room. This is a student led committee that addresses Social Justice Issues. We could really use your input concerning the social climate at DSH.
Trying to expand your knowledge of Korean Culture? Come in and join the Korean Club! We cover Korean language, music, food, and travel that might be essential for your next student exchange programs! With different activities such as movie nights, games, and fundraisers, it would be a great chance to increase your interest in Korean Culture. For more information come to Ms. Curry's class in P-24 where meetings are held every Wednesday. Hope to see you there!
