BLUE DEVIL BRICKS
Build Blue Devil Pride, One Brick at a Time!
The new DAVIS BLUE DEVIL ATHLETIC BOOSTERS invite you to support all of our high school athletes with the purchase of a memorial brick. Bricks will be installed at the Steve Larsen Bike Plaza (in between the stadium and gym) and will honor your future, past or present athlete, musician, scientist or artist! There will be a girls Water Polo informational meeting for next fall on Wednesday, May 23rd 6-8pm in A-3, Mr. Wright A.P. Art History room.
Athletes: If you have signed or will be signing a letter of intent to play a sport at the collegiate level, we want to celebrate you on May 30th @ 12:10pm in the Quad. Please stop by the athletic secretary desk in the main office to pick up your information sheet. Information sheets are due to the athletic department by May 23rd to participate in the event. All levels of college participation are encouraged to participate. If you have, any questions stop by and see us.
With the permission of AD Lorenson, we have the opportunity to provide DHS singers the chance to SING THE NATIONAL ANTHEM before football games. SIGN-UPS are happening NOW. Jazz -N-Pops Concert on June 2!
Join us for the Jazz Choir's final concert of the year on June 2 at Brunelle at 7pm. Our Jazz-N-Pops concert showcases our hard work and features popular songs and elaborate choreography. Tickets will be available at the door starting at 6:30pm.
Attention ALL Seniors!
Be sure to get your Grad Night ticket before the prices go up. Tickets are on sale on-line until midnight May 30th for $85.00 at www.davisgradnight.org<http://www.davisgradnight.org> or you can buy the tickets in person after the senior assembly on Wednesday outside the gym. After that, tickets will ONLY be available at the door for $100.00. This is an amazing night and worth every penny! Food and entertainment... actually everything is included in the price. This will be the last night the class of 2018 has to celebrate together so... hurry up and buy your tickets!
Seniors - Grad Night is next month and time is running out to buy your tickets!
About 90% of the graduating class attends Grad Night. Tickets are still available for $85 at davisgradnight.org<http://davisgradnight.org/>, but only until May 30. After that, you will only be able to buy tickets at the door for $100. A single ticket guarantees that you can enjoy all of the activities - including arcade games, casino, hypnotist show, inflatables, henna tattoos and raffles (with big prizes!) - plus a café with unlimited food and beverages served all night long. All graduating seniors are invited to attend Grad Night - if you have a financial hardship, please contact your school's counseling office to discuss scholarship options to help cover the cost of your ticket. Seniors, there will be a very important Senior Assembly on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at 11:40am in the North Gym! During this assembly, you will receive important information regarding prom, senior awards night, grad night, graduation, and more! Cap/gown/tassel units will be distributed at the end of the assembly.
Yearbooks will be here on Tuesday, May 29th! Check to see if you bought one by looking at the list outside the Finance Office. You can still buy one for the current price of $120.
CLUBS:
Support the American Red Cross by stopping by Blaze Pizza 212 F Street between 5:30pm - 8:30pm this Wednesday the 23rd be sure to bring flyer or a picture of a flyer to show the cashier!
CAREERS:
SENIORS: The list of all students receiving scholarships, awards, or special recognition at Senior Awards Night is now posted in the windows of the Career Center. Come to the Career Center to see if your name is on the list!
Do you want to learn about chemistry, anthropology, archaeology, biology, neuroscience and comparative literature majors at UCD? Join Inspire to Aspire UCD mentors on Wednesday, May 23 at 2:30 in the All Student Center.
Professors from UCD will do a panel presentation on these majors. The first 20 students will receive a free copy of Stephen Covey's bestseller: "7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens."
