Every graduating senior in Davis (Da Vinci, DSIS, King and DHS) is welcome to celebrate at this All-night, alcohol and drug-free party on Friday, June 8th from 9:30 pm- 5:00 am. Are you interested in learning about the many options of taking a Gap Year after graduating from high school?  Then please attend the Gap Year Fair on Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2018 from 6:00pm to 8:30pm at the Davis Veteran's Memorial Center. The Gap Year Fair is a FREE event, but due to limited space, students must preregister at  https://www.eventbrite.com/e/usa-gap-year-fair-2018-davis-ca-registration-39196666284 to attend.  This event is being hosted by the DHS PTA.
Attention Students! Open House is coming up Thursday February, 22nd  from 6-7pm. Please join us this will be a great opportunity for your parents to meet our staff and explore our different faculty departments. Hope to see you and your parents there!

PSAT score reports are now available to pick up in the Career Center. AP exams are available for purchase for $99 per test. Please see your counselor if you need financial assistance.
CLUBS:
Spring Dance is coming up! It will be Friday, February 23rd from 8:30-11pm in the North Gym. The theme is "Luau" so make sure you wear something tropical! Tickets are free! Hope to see you there!

Hey Davis FFA! FFA week is coming up February 17th -24th , we will be having many fun events like Ag-Lympics with roping and corn role, a class Demonstration Day for agriculture classes and a petting zoo on Thursday and Friday. We will also be doing "Kiss the Pig" on Friday! There will be spirit days. Tuesday is Blue and Gold, Wednesday is Camo Day, Thursday is Western Day and Friday is Freedom Day.

Are you interested in local government and politics? Join Youth in Government and shadow Davis leaders like Mayor, Fire Chief, and more. Applications are in ASC 100, and there will be an informational meeting on Friday, February 16th at lunch, also in ASC 100.

Hey CSF! It's the last week to register for CSF. Bring your pink sheets, report card and last semester hour's sheet to P-13 during lunch. Hope to see you there! Don't wait until the last day! Registration ends this Friday!

If you like drawing or painting, come to the Art for Cure meeting this Friday in L-27. We will be planning a design for a mural on campus.

Calling all photographers, graphic artists, business managers and webmasters. Apply to be in the HUB for the 2018-2019 school year. Application available in room L-28 and are due Wednesday, February 28th.

Happy Chinese Year! Chinese Culture Club and Confucius institute will be celebrating on Tuesday February, 20th. Don't forget to join us!

CAREERS:
If you are a junior boy or junior girl interested in government, come to the Career Center to apply for the American Legion Boys State and Girls State all-expense paid summer programs.  Students in the program will actively participate in all phases of creating and running a working government. Those who apply must be strong academically, have leadership skills and an interest in community and government. Deadline to apply is February 21.

Are you interested in learning more about the United States Marines?  If so, come to the quad at lunch on Friday to meet with a U.S. Marine representative.



Students interested in a career in a health profession are invited to attend the UC Davis High School Pre-Health Symposium on Sunday, April 15 from 8-4 p.m. on the UC Davis campus.  The event will feature speakers, hands-on workshops, and information about careers in the health fields. Come to the Career Center for more information.
The Rotary Club is offering the following two all-expense paid camps this summer for high school juniors: Camp Royal leadership-training camp is filled with information, ideas and strategies to help students become more effective leaders.
Camp Venture is a motivational summer camp for students interested in pursuing a career in business, particularly as entrepreneurs. The deadline to apply is March 2. Come to the Career Center to apply.
