DHS Boys Lacrosse Break the Record Night & Senior Night - Tuesday, April 24: Join us under the lights at Davis High Stadium on Tuesday, April 24 to watch DHS Boys' Lacrosse play Jesuit. JV Game starts at5:30pm, Varsity at 7:30p.m. Our graduating Seniors will be recognized before the Varsity game. Admission is free, and there will be food vendors and special guest performances. Come support DHS Lacrosse!
ACADEMICS/OPPORTUNITIES/EVENTS:
The District Office is now accepting applications for Summer Custodians for High School Students. You must be available to work from June 11, 2018-August 24, 2018, 40 hours/week from 6:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., hours differ based on sites assigned. Applications are available at the District Office Front Desk, 526 B Street from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Hey Seniors, it's almost time for prom! Prom tickets will be on sale from April 16th until May 11th Prices: $80 without ASB $75 with ASB at the Finance office at lunch. To buy a ticket you must have a table organizer and a new dance contract turned in. both of these forms are available now in the finance office.
Hey DHS! Powderpuff applications for football and cheerleading are now available in ASC-100 and are due to the Finance Office Friday April 30th.
CLUBS:
DHS Red Cross Club will be holding its spring blood drive on Friday April 13th. You must be at least 16 years old and weight at least 110lbs. to donate blood. Sign-ups are in the quad all the way to the day before the drive 4/12. If you participate, you will get a free t-shirt and the opportunity to save lives.
Hey CSF! There is a general meeting this Friday, April 13th at lunch in room P-13. Come to vote for officer candidates for next year! Hope to see you there! Seniors: If you are an active lifetime member you can apply for the CSF scholarship get an application in P-13 they are due April 24th.
On Sunday, Hungarian prime minister Orban won a third term in the national elections through campaigning on national identity and skepticism of the EU. To discuss this recent election and its implications for democracy in the world, plus other current events, come to DHS Politics Club Friday at lunch in N-2.
CAREERS:
It's time to sign-up for this month's Financial Literacy class on Friday, April 13 at lunch in the Career Center! This is the last Financial Literacy class of the school year. This month's class will be on "Paying for College and Paying Your Way Through College." Pizza will be provided. Sign-up in advance in the Career Center. The class size is limited to the first 30 students who sign-up. Sign-up early; the Financial Literacy classes fill up quickly.
Attention AP Students: Log onto your Total Registration account at https://user.totalregistration.net/AP/50730 today to review that all information is correct. AP answer sheets will be printed this week. If you don't have an account please contact Nikki LaVergne immediately in the Testing Office in the admin building or contact me at nlavergne at djusd.net<mailto:nlavergne at djusd.net>.
CAASPP TESTING: Attention students - Please check with one of your teachers for your classroom assignment for the CAASPP testing weeks. Students will report to the same classroom during the testing block.
Sophomores: They will report to the same classroom the following days of the testing weeks for the Writing Assessment and assemblies
