THIS DAY IN HISTORY:   1955 - Rosa Parks, a black seamstress in Montgomery, AL, refused to give up her seat to a white man. Mrs. Parks was arrested marking a milestone in the civil rights movement in the U.S.

Buy your tickets for Winter Ball online or at the Finance Office at lunch.  Tickets will cost $20 on with ASB and $25 without.  Buy them soon because they will increase in price and attendance is limited.  You must have a dance contract on file! If you have a Guest Pass to get signed, you must have it completed, signed and turned in by Thursday, December 1st!  Tickets will be also on sale, Friday, December 2 after 7th period.

Are you looking for a quiet place to study?  Do you need to use a computer?  If you answered yes to any of these questions, come to the Internet After Hours Program at DHS Library.  We are open every Monday through Thursday from 5:00 pm to 7:15 pm.  All DJUSD students and their families are welcome.

BLUE DEVIL BOOK DRIVE!  Bring a book to English class by this Friday, December 2, and make a difference for families in need.  The Blue Devil Book Drive will donate all books to the STEAC (Short Term Emergency Aid Committee) Holiday Program.  We will accept gently-used books for children of all ages: from babies to teenagers. Books for older readers and books in Spanish are especially needed.  All donations are greatly appreciated.    Contact your English teacher or Mrs. Pilon in Room P-20 for more information.

CLUBS: Join the Genders and Sexualities Alliance this Friday at lunch for a special presentation by members of the UCD Asexual Community.  Learn about the asexuality umbrella and discuss ace experiences.  The GSA meets in Room L-20 above the library.  There will be snacks!

Attention CSF: There will be a general meeting this Friday at lunch in Room P-13.  There are only two meetings left after this one!

Join the DHS Unicef Club!  Help make a difference around the world one student at a time by fighting for the survival and development of children around the world!  Meetings are ever other Monday in Mr. Williams’ room (L-23).
