Senior Athletes:  Attention all athletes that have committed to play a college sport next year.  We would like to celebrate your accomplishments on April 12th at the signing day celebration ceremony in the quad.  If you have committed to playing at the next level, please come by the athletic office to get your questionnaire and acceptance to participate packet by Friday, April 1st.

Football players and parents are invited to join DHS Football Coaches and Football Backers for a very important and informative 2016 season meeting on Monday, March 28th at 7:00 pm in the DHS Library.  A parent or guardian must attend for any student planning to play freshman, JV or Varsity football in the 2016 season.  Questions? Davis High School Basketball Camp will be held Monday, June 13 to Thursday, June 16, at the Davis Senior High School North Gym. The camp is open to fourth to eighth grade girls and boys, will run from 8am to noon. The Basketball Camp will focus on the fundamentals of basketball along with competitive games and drills. TODAY: Seniors! A local scholarship deadline has been extended!  The California Retired Teachers Association Scholarship is for seniors pursuing a career in teaching.  The new deadline is Friday, March 18.  Come to the Career Center to pick up this and many other local scholarship applications.  You can fill them out over Spring Break!

Today is the deadline for Friendship Day Facilitator applications!  Turn them in to the Front Office!

Come to the Chess Club!  It's every Friday at lunch in N-11.  Anyone can come and all levels are accepted.

Attention all CSF members!  There will be a general meeting this Friday, March 18th in P-13, Ms. O'Brien's room at lunch.  We will discuss projects and officer elections.  Remember, you need at least two meetings per semester so it is better to get them out of the way early.  See you there!

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENTS:  If you are interested in doing something adventurous this summer, Rustic Pathways Educational Travel Company may have a program for you!  Rustic Pathways offers summer educational opportunities such as caring for elephants at conservation centers, building homes for Cambodian families, climbing Africa's highest peak and more!  Come to the quad at lunch on Tuesday, March 29th to learn more about Rustic Pathways programs.

Monday, March 28th, 2016 is the deadline to submit information and articles to the PTA for the April issue of the Davis High School PTA newsletter. Please send news, announcements, etc. to DHSPTAmedia at mailman.dcn.org<mailto:DHSPTAmedia at mailman.dcn.org>.
Include your name, email address and phone number in case the newsletter editor has questions about your submission and also note that not every submission will be automatically included. Inclusion is at the discretion of our communications committee and is subject to timing, the appropriate venue(s), and frequency of the request(s). The newsletter is the ONLY communication tool that reaches ALL DHS families, whether they have internet access or not. The newsletter is generally published around the first of each month.  This is a great way to inform, notify or enlist parents' help for upcoming DHS school and student activities.

Attention Seniors:  Applications are available to seniors interested in giving a speech during the 2016 Graduation ceremony.  Please ask Ms. Carmen Schnathorst for a Graduation Speech application.  The application and a typewritten speech are due April 1, 2016 by 4:00 pm.  Finalists will be invited to a live audition the week of April 11, 2016 with the speakers chosen and notified by April 22, 2016.  Got something important to say to the 2016 Graduating class?  Here is your chance!

ACADEMICS/CAREERS/OPPORTUNITIES/EVENTS:  Lead Class applications are available in L-23 or the Front Office.  Be a peer helper next year and make a difference for our Blue Devil Family!

Grad Night! Every graduating senior in Davis (Da Vinci, DSIS, King and DHS) is welcome to celebrate at this all-night, off-the-hook, alcohol/drug-free party on Friday, June 10.
