Davis High School Basketball Camp will be held Monday, June 13 to Thursday, June 16, at the Davis Senior High School North Gym. The camp is open to fourth to eighth grade girls and boys, will run from 8am to noon. The Basketball Camp will focus on the fundamentals of basketball along with competitive games and drills. Hello beautiful and talented men of Davis High, it's that time of year!  Mr. Blue Devil applications are available in the Student Government Room, N-1A, so get your booties over there and grab an application.  They are due March 17th in Room N-1A!

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENTS:  Monday, March 28th, 2016 is the deadline to submit information and articles to the PTA for the April issue of the Davis High School PTA newsletter. Please send news, announcements, etc. to DHSPTAmedia at mailman.dcn.org<mailto:DHSPTAmedia at mailman.dcn.org>.
Include your name/email address/phone number in case the newsletter editor has questions about your submission and also note that not every submission will be automatically included. Inclusion is at the discretion of our communications committee and is subject to timing, appropriate venue(s), and frequency of the request(s). The newsletter is the ONLY communication tool that reaches ALL DHS families, whether they have internet access or not and is generally published around the first of each month.  This is a great way to inform, notify or enlist parents' help for upcoming DHS school and student activities.

The City of Davis has job openings for Camp Counselors and Skateboard Camp Recreation Leaders.  If you're looking for a job this summer, come to the Career Center to pick up information about these two job opportunities.

Students interested in pursuing a career in Veterinary Medicine are invited to attend UC Davis Veterinary School's "Future Day" on Saturday, April 2 from 8:30 - 3:30. Future Day will focus on careers in veterinary medicine and offer interactive labs. The event is free and includes a light breakfast and lunch.  Come to the Career Center for more information.

Did you miss the Summer Activities and Scholarship Fair on Tuesday?  Don't worry - all information and applications available at the fair for scholarships, jobs, summer programs, internship and volunteer opportunities can be found in the Career Center.  Come to the Career Center for all of this information and more!

Attention Seniors:  Applications are available to seniors interested in giving a speech during the 2016 Graduation ceremony.  Please ask Ms. Carmen Schnathorst for a Graduation Speech application.  The application and a typewritten speech are due April 1, 2016 by 4:00 pm.  Finalists will be invited to a live audition the week of April 11, 2016 with the speakers chosen and notified by April 22, 2016.  Got something important to say to the 2016 Graduating class?  Here is your chance!

Seniors! A local scholarship deadline has been extended!  The California Retired Teachers Association Scholarship is for seniors pursuing a career in teaching.  The new deadline is Friday, March 18.  Come to the Career Center to pick up this and many other local scholarship applications.  You can fill them out over Spring Break!

ACADEMICS/CAREERS/OPPORTUNITIES/EVENTS:  Hey Blue Devils! Have a burning desire to be a Friendship Day Facilitator?  Then today is your lucky day!  Pick up an application to be a Friendship Day Facilitator from Mr. Williams' room, P-14 or the Front Office and turn them in by March 18th.

Reminder: Deadline for Math and Science Tutor applications will end on Friday, March 18th.  Please go to S9 or for more information!

Grad Night! Every graduating senior in Davis (Da Vinci, DSIS, King and DHS) is welcome to celebrate at this all-night, off-the-hook, alcohol/drug-free party on Friday, June 10. CLUBS: Come to the Chess Club!  It's every Friday at lunch in N-11.  Anyone can come and all levels are accepted.

Attention all CSF members!  There will be a general meeting this Friday, March 18th in P-13, Ms. O'Brien's room at lunch.  We will discuss projects and officer elections.  Remember, you need at least two meetings per semester so it is better to get them out of the way early.  See you there!
