Interested in astronomy?  Come to the Astronomy Club today at lunch in classroom S-2 to create your own paper mache model of the planets.  Hope to see you there!

The next school year is coming up fast and we need Link Crew members to welcome our new sophomores.  If you are helpful, positive and care about the DHS Community, make sure to apply for the 2016-2017 Link Crew!  The applications are available in L-23 or the Finance Office.

JUNIORS- Do you want to get an early start on college planning for next year?  If so, come to the Career Center on Tuesday, April 19 at lunch to hear admission representatives from Carleton, St. Olaf, Macalester and Colorado College speak about their colleges and answer questions.  This is a convenient way to learn about colleges you may be interested in!  See you in the Career Center Tuesday at lunch!

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENTS:  This week is our test week.  Sophomore students will take the CST 10 on Tuesday, during periods 2, 3 and 4.  Juniors will take ELA tests on Wednesday and Thursday.  IMPORTANT: We will have a different schedule on Wednesday and Thursday.  Period 4 on Wednesday and Period 3 on Thursday will begin earlier than usual.  Please check the schedule in your teachers' classrooms.  All students who are taking tests must bring their photo ID and a free reading book. Sophomores and seniors will receive important information at assemblies next Wednesday and Thursday.

Kevin Johnson, Dean of King Law School at UC Davis will be speaking about U.S. immigration policy on April 20th in Brunelle Theater.  The event will be at lunch 12:45-1:30 pm.  All are welcome.

College Night for Juniors and their parents is Thursday, April 28 at 7:00 p.m. starting in the IPAB.  At College Night you will learn about public and private colleges, universities, community colleges, scholarships, financial aid, college entrance testing and more during breakout sessions.  Join us on April 28 to find out more about the process of applying to college!

Attention Seniors: Grad Night Tickets will be sold on campus this week!  Bring your check payable to Davis Grad Night for $90.00 or cash.  Volunteers can also instruct how to purchase online.  Availability will be:  Thursday, April 21: During the Senior Assembly * Friday, April 22: At lunch in the quad
What's Grad Night? A spectacular, all night party for every graduating senior in Davis.  Price includes all food, activities and raffle entry.  Don't miss this rite of passage!

CSF Seniors: If you are graduating as an ACTIVE lifetime member, you are eligible to apply for our chapter Scholarship.  Applications are available in P-13.  Deadline for submission is Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at 1:00 pm.

ACADEMICS/CAREERS/OPPORTUNITIES/EVENTS:  2016-2017 DSHS Dance Team - Final day to return all required forms to Coach Perez is this Friday, April 22, 2016 @ 3:30 pm.  If you are interested in trying out for the Dance Team please see Coach Perez in the DSHS Main office for the required forms. Attention Juniors & Sophomores:  Are you not happy with your new 2016-17 schedule? Do you feel that you're missing that perfect class to bring it all together? Mark your calendars for 'A Tribute to Tony Fields' on April 22 and 23 at 7:00 pm in the IPAB.  You won't want to miss this fun performance with songs from 'Wicked,' 'Rent,' and 'A Chorus Line!'   Students are $8 with ID, General Admission is $12 and seniors are $10.  Hope to see you there!

SENIORS: The 2016 Senior Ball is almost here! Seniors are all invited to experience the Starry Night on April 30, 2016 at the Sheraton Grand Hotel in Sacramento.  Doors open at 6:30.  Tickets will be on sale in the Finance Office during lunch April 11 to April 22 and 8:15 am to 8:45 am on Wednesday, April 20.  Tables seat 10-your group must buy tickets at the same time to be seated together.  See the Senior Ball Table Organizer, available in the Office and at davishighstudentgovernment.wordpress.com.   Seniors and their guests can purchase tickets; if your guest is not a DJUSD student, complete a Guest Pass and submit it to your Vice Principal for approval by April 20.
