Calling all actors, singers and performers!  Come audition for the Fall musical, "Band Geeks!"  "Band Geeks" is a musical where jock meets band geeks.  Think comedy and catchy pop music! "Band Geeks" is a celebration of high school musicians and music everywhere.  Auditions begin with a mandatory workshop on Friday, September 4 at 4:00 pm in PA8, and continuing on Tuesday, September 8 and Wednesday, September 9th in PA8 at 4:00 pm.  Don't miss it!

ANNOUNCEMENTS:  It's college visit time!  Visits from college admission representatives will take place in the Career Center starting Tuesday, September 8! Dates and times of college visits are posted outside the Career Center and on Naviance.  Students must sign up on Naviance prior to attending a college visit and must check in with their teacher before leaving class to attend a visit.  Come to the Career Center if you need help with Naviance or for more information about college visits!

Interested in Sports Medicine or Athletic Training?  The Davis Senior High School Athletic Trainer is looking for someone that is working in this field.  Please contact the Athletic Department for more information.

Hey Devils!  As you might already know, the Homecoming Parade is coming up next month.  If you know of a class, club, or sport that wants to be included, pick up application forms in C-4 by September 21st and we will see you there!

CLUBS/EVENTS: The First Japanese Club Meeting is meeting next week on Wednesday, September 9th.  If you want to learn more about Japanese culture, then this is the club for you!

Hello und willkomman! The German Club will be meeting Tuesdays in Room N-2 at lunch.  If you speak German, are interested in German culture, or just want to eat some delicious German desserts, feel free to stop by! We will have delicious pastries!

Hear ye, hear ye!  It's the Quiz Bowl Question of the Day!  What Dutch painter depicted the view from his insane asylum in the Starry Night?  Come to Quiz Bowl on Wednesdays at lunch in P-21!

Interested in helping DHS have a prettier garden or help on the energy audit with UCD School?  Come join the Environmental Club this Friday in Room S-10.

Club applications are now available in the new Student Government Classroom, N1A located in the old Career Center.  Applications are due by September 18th.

ACADEMICS/CAREER/VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:  Internship Opportunity!   The UC Davis Burrowing Owl Preservation Society is offering an internship for high school students to help with burrowing owl habitat restoration and management, installing and managing artificial burrows, vet monitoring, owl monitoring, etc. Come to the Career Center, located in the library for more information.

Attention ALL FALL sport athletes enrolled in INDEPENDENT LIFETIME SPORTS:  please attend the mandatory informational meeting next Friday, September 11th, during 7th period, in the small gym.  Just a reminder, you must have made your Fall sports team roster, and already be enrolled in the course to earn credit for this course.  Please be on time.

Interested in community service?  Want to participate in fun volunteer events and socials?  Then join Key Club!  Come to our welcome meeting on Tuesday, 9/8 in Room S-12 at lunch to learn more.

Help for College! There will be a College Application Workshop at lunchtime on September 9 in the South Gym.   On September 10th at 7:00 pm in the Brunelle Theater is a UC Workshop.  On September 17th, we will have a CSU Workshop at 7:00 pm in the Brunelle Theater.
