The DHS Snowboard Team is having their official sign-up meeting on Thursday, October 22 at 7:00 pm in the DHS Library.  The snowboard team is open to all high school students in grades 9-12.  All interested students and parents are welcome to attend.

If you are interested in learning about the United States Army, Army representatives will be on the quad at lunch on Tuesday October 20 to answer questions about the Army and provide information about college scholarships

ACADEMICS/CAREERS/OPPORTUNITIES:  Are you interested in attending Sacramento City College?  If so, Sac City is hosting a Preview Night on Thursday, October 29 from 5:00-7:30 at the Sacramento campus.  Come to this event to learn about degree and certificate programs, financial aid, getting into community college and take a tour of the Sacramento campus.  Come to the Career Center for more information.

CABIN LEADERS are needed for North Davis Elementary School's trip to Walker Creek on January 4th - 8th.  Applications are available in the Career Center.  The deadline to apply is November 4th.

Cabin leaders are needed for Korematsu Elementary's Walker Creek trip that takes place November 30-December 4.  The deadline to apply is October 28.  Please come to the Career Center for an application.

CLUBS/EVENTS:  Got a cool talent?  If so, DHS Factor is right for you! This talent show is November 20th so send in your application by October 30th, next Friday.  Applications are in N-1A (old Career Center).  Don't be shy! Winners get $25 for Dutch Bros., In 'n Out Burger and free prom tickets.  Second place and third place winners get $20 and $15 respectively for Dutch Bros. and In 'n Out Burger.   Don't wait! Get your apps in asap!

Hey, hey, hey! It's Friendship Day! There will be a Friendship Day this Friday.  Please turn in your forms by Wednesday to the Front Office.  Can't wait to see your lovely faces!

Hey Key Clubbers! Come to our general meeting this Wednesday, 10/21 in Room S-12 at lunch!  We will be discussing new projects and our fall social!  There will be food!  See you all there!

Come to the AVID Community Club in N-1 to discuss our first Community Service project Wednesday at lunch.

DHS Student Leaders of Clubs, Booster Groups, ASB: Monday, October 26th is the deadline for submitting information and articles for the November 2015 DHS PTA Newsletter.  Please send news, announcements, etc. to the DHS PTA Media Listserve at DHSPTAmedia at mailman.dcn.org and include your name, parent or faculty name and contact information (email address and phone number) in case the newsletter editor has questions about your submission. The newsletter is generally available around the 1st of each month. This is a great way to inform, notify or enlist parents' help for upcoming DHS school and student activities.
