THIS DAY IN HISTORY:  2003: In London, magician David Blaine emerged from a clear plastic box that had been suspended by a crane over the banks of the Thames River.  He survived only on water for 44 days.  Blaine had entered the box on September 5th.

ACADEMICS/CAREERS/OPPORTUNITIES:  Are you interested in attending Sacramento City College?  If so, Sac City is hosting a Preview Night on Thursday, October 29 from 5:00-7:30 at the Sacramento campus.  Come to this event to learn about degree and certificate programs, financial aid, getting into community college and take a tour of the Sacramento campus.  Come to the Career Center for more information.

Cabin leaders are needed for Korematsu Elementary’s Walker Creek trip that takes place November 30-December 4.  The deadline to apply is October 28.  Please come to the Career Center for an application.

CLUBS/EVENTS:  The Teen Health Awareness Club is meeting this Tuesday in Ms. Moriarty’s room, S-5.  Come for snacks and discussion on upcoming guest speakers!

Hey Key Clubbers! Come to our general meeting this Wednesday, 10/21 in Room S-12 at lunch!  We will be discussing new projects and our fall social!  There will be food!  See you all there!

Bonjour! It’s French Club every other Tuesday! Come to O-4 with the open door!  You don’t need to speak it and you don’t have to be it.  We’ll have food, so be there dude!
