THIS DAY IN HISTORY:  in 2000, Thomas E. Blanton Jr. & David Luker
surrendered to police in Birmingham, AL. The two former Ku Klux Klan
members were arrested on charges from the bombing of a church in 1963 that
killed four young African American girls.

DHS Field Hockey coach Sandie Marotti-Huckins and several DHS players are
running a free workshop for girls currently in 7th-11th grade who are
interested in learning more about the sport of field hockey. May 18, 9am to
11am, DSHS stadium

SAVE THE DATE! Sports Physical Clinic at Sutter Davis Family Practice
Saturday, June 1st from 8:30-11:30am. $20 donation benefits DHS Athletics.
Athletes in grades 7-12 are encouraged to complete their sports physicals
this spring for the 2013-14 school year.  Packets are available online at

Yearbooks are almost here! Yearbooks will be delivered to your 5th period
class on May 23rd. If you pre-ordered a book but do not have a 5th period
class at DHS please contact Mrs. Thomsen (KThomsen at djusd.net) immediately.
If you would still like to buy a book or have any questions you can come to
our sales tables at lunch on Thursday, May 23rd, Tuesday, May 28th, and
Wednesday, May 29th. Books will be $95.
SENIORS! Prom Pictures are in! Come to the front desk to pick up your
photos.

Today the last CSF general meeting of the school year will be held. To
maintain membership, you must attend at least two CSF meetings and
participate in a least one CSF project. If you are missing either, come to
this Friday’s meeting for new projects and volunteer opportunities.

The DHS International Film Festival will be held tonight from 6:30pm to
10:00pm. If you would like to eat delicious food and see great films from
our about France, German, Japan, China or Mexico, please come to the quad
near the P-Building!

Attention clubs!  If you are interested in participating in the club fair
on May 21st at lunch, pick up an application in C-4 and turn it in by
tomorrow.

Please return all library books today!  If you have questions, come by the
library circulation desk.
Applications for Drama Department are available in P-11. They are due
Monday, 5/20/13.

Madrigals will be holding auditions for a tenor, bass, and accompanist on
May 28th at lunch.  Please see Mrs. Gardias for details.
