SPORTS PHYSICAL PAPERWORK NIGHTS:  Where/When: January 29 & 30: 6-8pm in the North Gym lobby. Turn in your completed paperwork and receive your athletic clearance card to present to your Spring coach on the first day of tryouts.

Spring applications for ILS will be available in the front office starting the week of January 28th.

LUNCH CHOICES:  Teriyaki Chicken, Beef or Tofu or Bean Feast over rice.  Tandori Chicken with Mint Sauce or Curry Chicken with Basmati Rice, Creamed Spinach and Nan Bread.  Winter salad bar daily.

NEW:
The Yearbook needs team members for next year who are organized, like photography and/or writing, or have great technology or business skills.   Applications are in the Front Office, C-3 or A-7.  See Ms. Thomsen or dhsyearbook.wordpress.com for more info!

Break the Record Night Spirit Week is coming!  Tuesday, 1/29 is Jersey Day, Wednesday is Scrabble Day so wear your favorite letter.  Thursday is Blue Day and Friday is White-Out.  Show your spirit and you may win prizes, a Break the Record Night t-shirt and a chance to become Spirit King and Queen!

Stressed out from schoolwork, grades or college? Come to LEAD lunch in L-25, Mr. Elliott's room on Friday, 1/26 to vent.  Food will be provided!


Looking for a summer job?  The City of Davis is holding its free Job Skills Workshop on Wednesday, 1/30 at 4:00 p.m. in the Veteran's Memorial Center Theater.   You will learn skills for job applications and interviews and make valuable contacts.  Need more info?  Come to the Career Center!

DHS Boys Lacrosse Tryout Meeting - When: January 23rd   6:45pm Where: Holmes Jr. High School, 1220 Drexel Drive.  If you are trying out for the DHS Boys Lacrosse team, it is important you attend this Parent/Athlete meeting.  You will need to bring:
1. Both player and parent signed Coaches Handbook agreement page.
2. Your completed Transportation form with copies of your CDL and Insurance card both front and back.

Spring Play!  Auditions in P-11 -  1/23 and 1/24, afterschool.  The play addresses racism in Davis and is written by a DHS/UCD graduate.

UPCOMING EVENTS:
Break the Record Night Half-Time Game needs players!  We need at least two people from each class to participate.  There will be a game meeting for more information in C-4 at lunch on Friday, 1/25.
Who will be the next Davis Idol?  Where: IPAB  - When: 1/25, 1/26 Preliminary rounds  -    Finale: 2/2  Tickets available: Room PA-8 or Watermelon Music.  Ticket packages are $25 for all 3 nights Single Tickets are $8 in advance, $10 @ the door for preliminary rounds and $10 in advance $12 @ the door for the finale!

Seniors - To check the spelling of your name for your diploma, come to the Front Office.  Deadline to correct or change:  Friday, 2/1/13

Seniors-   Order your mid-year (Semester 1) transcript requests to out-of-state/private colleges.  Follow the posted instructions at the Transcript counter in Counseling.
