-Interested in trying out for the 2013 Blue Devil Boys Golf team? There will be an informational meeting for new and returning players Wednesday, September 26 at 7:00 pm in room N-5 at Davis High. Parents are encouraged to attend.

DHS Winter Athletes:  SAVE THESE DATES! (Boys Basketball, Girls Basketball, Wrestling, Ski Team, Snowboard Team)
Concussion Baseline Testing:  October 15--5:30, 6:30, 7:30 and October 16--4:00, 5:00, 6:00. Sign up link and permission forms are available at www.davisseniorhigh.net<http://www.davisseniorhigh.net>  Winter athletes only. Dates will be added later for Spring athletes.
Sports Physical Paperwork Nights:  October 23 & 24: 6-8pm in the North Gym lobby. Turn in your completed paperwork and receive your athletic clearance card to present to your Winter coach on the first day of tryouts.

TODAY
-For Lunch today we have Hot Wings over fried rice, Chicken Patty on a bun, or Fish Filet on a bun served with fries.

-On Tuesday, September 25th, the second Chinese Club meeting will be held.  Go to Room T-3 during lunch and meet others also interested in Chinese language and culture.


NEW
-If you are a club, sports team or group on campus and are interested in participating in the homecoming day parade, come to C-4 and pick up both an application for participation and permission slips for all those who wish to take part in the parade.  All applications must be turned into C-4 by October 5th.

-Come join the Freedom From Hunger Club, 2012 Winner of the best club on campus.  We meet every other Wednesday in L-21 and work progressively with the nonprofit Freedom From Hunger to end hunger in Latin America and the Middle East.  Hope to see you there this Wednesday, the 26th!

-Hey Blue Devils!  There is a UNICEF Meeting this Friday, September 28th at lunch in P-20.

-Fellow Ravenclaws, are you interested in helping build our homecoming float?  Come to our float building meeting in Ms. Grivas's room, P-21 this Wednesday, September 26 at lunch.  See you there!

-The City of Davis invites you to join them on a tour of northern California universities!  This Saturday, September 29, they tour Chico State and on October 6, they will head to UC Berkeley.  Trips are $65. and include transportation, college tour and lunch. These tours are informative and lots of fun, so buy your tickets early!

-Do you want to learn new dance moves and show off your own?  Do you want to be part of the freestyle performances in the quad?  Then come to Freestyle Club in the Dance Room on Thursdays at lunchtime to express yourself through dance, beat box and more!

-Do you enjoy creating writing?  Come join Expression Through Writing Club at lunch in Room P-20 this Wednesday, September 26.  This is your share your ideas through various creative writing forms.  See you there!

-Pioneer Elementary School is still taking applications for Walker Creek Cabin Leaders!  Guys are encouraged to apply! Pioneer will hold a cabin leader meeting at 3:30 on September 26 at Pioneer Elementary, so come to the Career Center SOON for an application! -Picture Retake:  Picture retake will be on Tuesday, October 2, 2012 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the Library West Conference Room.  You must bring your unwanted picture packet that you received in order to take your new pictures.   All new students that took pictures in the Library, please come and take your picture on October 2 so that you will be in the Yearbook.

-Seniors! You must take an official Senior Portrait in order to be featured in the yearbook! You do not have to buy a package, but you must take a photo. -Students who will be voting in the November election: be an informed voter - please come learn about the five candidates for the local school board. -Calling all thespians! ACME Theatre Company invites all 9th-12th grade students to audition for their upcoming productions of "In A Grove" (in the fall) and "Radium Girls" (in the winter).  Auditions for both shows are September 26, 28 and 29 and callbacks are the 29th and 30th. -Davis Senior High School is seeking a parent to serve on the School Site Council for the 2012-2013 school  year.  The School Site Council discusses ways to improve student achievement and meets at Davis Senior High School on the third Thursday of each month at 3:00.
