Today at lunch in Room S-5, the Teen Awareness Club will host guest speaker, Dr. Katherine Eastman, Assistant Chief of Pediatrics at Kaiser Davis to give a talk on "Stress Management for Exams and Life."  This talk is timely as finals are before Winter Break this year.  All students are welcome to attend!


Seniors:  Forgot to order your cap/gown/tassel, Graduation announcements or a class ring?  Make-up day ordering is Thursday, November 29th 2:15 to 3:30 in the quad. Extra ordering packets are available in the office.



Seniors!  Need money for college?  Come to the DHS Financial Aid Workshop on Thursday, November 29, at 7:00 pm in the IPAB.  At the workshop, you will learn about the many sources of student aid and how to complete financial aid applications.  All seniors and their parents are invited to attend. Come to the Career Center for more information.

Do you have awesome talents?  Here's your chance to show it off with the DHS Factor!  Applications are due Friday, December 7th in C-4 to students and staff!



CSF Members!  We have another general meeting this upcoming Friday in Ms. O'Brien's room during lunch.  Also, don't forget that our yearbook photo will be taken next Tuesday, December 4.  We'll be meeting  in P-13 first.  Be sure to wear white!  We will see you then!

The Third Annual Davis High Boys Lacrosse Swap Meet will be held on Saturday, December 8 from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm at the Holmes Junior High School MPR!  Buy, sell, swap or donate new and used Lacrosse equipment and Gear.  Donations are happily accepted at the Swap and will help to support the Davis High Boys Lacrosse Teams!

If you are a young woman between 14 and 17 and have participated in volunteer efforts in your community or school, you may be eligible for the $1,000 Soroptomist International of Davis Violet Richardson Award.  Come to the Career Center for an application.  The deadline to apply is December 1.



Calling all dodge ball players! Applications to start your own dodge ball intra-mural team are available today in C-4.  Turn completed applications into C-4 by December 14!
-Attention All DHS Instrumental Soloists - This year's annual DHS Orchestra Concerto Competition is being held Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at 7:00 pm on stage in the DHS Brunelle Performance Hall.  It is open to all DHS instrumentalists.  The winner of this competition will be given the honor of performing with the DHS Symphony Orchestra at the Mondavi Center in Jackson Hall at the Wennberg Music  Festival on Saturday, March 23, 2013 at 3:00 pm as well as a check for $300!  A sign-up sheet and informational flyer will be on the window of the computer lab in PA-3.  Deadline to sign up is December 21st.   Also, you must email Mr. Moreno after you sign up at amoreno at djusd.net<mailto:amoreno at djusd.net>.  In your email, please provide your name, instrument and the name of your piece.


Seniors!  It's not too soon to think about Grad Night 2013!  The tickets cover food, drinks and entertainment and are at their lowest price, $75, until December 31.  Scholarships are available through school counselors.  This event is an all-night party for graduating DJUSD Seniors!
