ATHLETICS
- ILS winter session starts Friday November 16th at 2:40 in the south gym.  Please turn your application into the front office before this meeting.  This is our first class meeting and it is MANDATORY.



TODAY

-Lunch:   Rice Bowl Day - Choice of Teriyaki Chicken, Beef or Tofu over steamed local rice with fresh vegetables.



NEW

 -The DHS Climate Committee will meet this Wednesday, at 2:45 in the library.  Everyone is welcome to attend.



-Attention Seniors!  Would you like to be 'rented out' to other DHS Students?  The proceeds will help to fund student events.  Pick up a Rent-A-Senior application in C-4.   Completed applications are due in C-4 this Friday, November 16.


SENIORS:  Need free money for college?  Then come to the DHS FINANCIAL AID WORKSHOP on Thursday, November 29 at 7:00 p.m. in the IPAB.  At the workshop you'll learn about the many sources of student aid and how to complete financial aid applications.  All seniors and their parents are invited to attend.  Come to the Career Center for more information.



-Calling all dodgeball players!   Do you have cat-like reflexes?  Do you find yourself always dodging things?  Applications to start your own dodgeball intra-mural team will be available team will be available Friday, November 16 in C-4.  Turn completed applications into C-4 by December 14!

-Washington DC trip: Spring Break 2014.  Details will be given on Thursday, November 15 at lunchtime in room P14 (Mr. Williams' classroom)



-The DHS Canned Food Drive is on!  Please bring canned foods to your 4th period class.  Winners will be decided by the most cans collected per student and class.  The drive ends on Friday, November 16.



-The Teen Health Awareness Club will meet on Friday, November 16th at lunch in Ms. Moriarty's Room S-5.  Any questions, please contact us at DHSTHAC at gmail.com<mailto:DHSTHAC at gmail.com>.



-On November 29 at lunch in Room S-5, the Teen Health Awareness Club will host Guest Speaker Dr. Katherine Eastman, Assistant Chief of Pediatrics at Kaiser Davis to give a talk to interested DHS students regarding "Stress Management for Exams and Life."  This talk will be timely since our finals are before Winter Break this year.  All students are welcome to attend!


-JOB OPPORTUNITY:  The City of Davis is looking for temporary, part-time Junior Basketball Coaches and Officials.  Students must possess knowledge of basketball rules and be able to lead and motivate children.  Deadline to apply is November 21.
