-Hey Blue Devils! Love to sing and dance? Does performing with your peers who share your passion sound like an awesome time? Come to DHS Drama Department's annual "Tribute to Tony Fields" to audition. This amazing 80's song and dance extravaganza will be held today, March 2nd from 6:00 to 8:00 pm in the Dance Room!
-Hey CSF'ers! The first CSF general meeting of the year is happening today, March 2 in Ms. O'Brien's room during lunch. Be sure to attend to start the CSF Spring Semester right!
-SENIORS: March 2 is the deadline to apply for FAFSA and Cal Grants. Don't miss out on getting free money for college! If you have any questions about either of these programs, come to the Career Center N-17!
-Yearbook applications for next year's staff are due today, Friday, March 2. Late applications will not be accepted. Please turn your completed application in to Mrs. Thomsen in C-3 and make sure you sign up for an interview. -EAP The EAP will be held before school on Wednesday, March 7. The Deadline to sign up is today, March 2! The

-Do you enjoy art? Please come to the High School AP Art Exhibit, upstairs at the Pence Gallery on D Street. The exhibit will open on March 2 through March 25th with a reception on March 9 at 6:00 pm. The exhibit features amazing art by DHS and Da Vinci art students!

-AP sign-up begins Monday at lunch only on March 5th - 9th in the Large Conference Room. Bring your student ID and $90. cash or check payable to Davis Senior High School. Test dates are May 7th-18th. On March 8th, sign-ups will after school until 1:30 (due to Articulation Schedule.) If any student feels this is a financial burden, please see your counselor immediately.
-ASTRONAUT AND ALUMNA TRACY CALDWELL DYSON SPEAKS ON CAMPUS March 3, Saturday-Tracy Caldwell Dyson, a NASA astronaut and UC Davis alumna will give a free public lecture beginning at 4:00 pm. in the ballroom of the UC Davis Conference Center, followed by a question-and-answer session. Caldwell Dyson received her doctorate in chemistry from UC Davis in 1997 and joined the astronaut program in 1998. On her first space mission in August 2007, she spent two weeks at the International Space Station. In April 2010, she launched on a Russian Soyuz rocket and spent 174 days at the International Space Station as a flight engineer, returning in September 2010. During the six-month mission, Caldwell Dyson conducted experiments and made three spacewalks to carry out repairs to the space station. Admission is free but advance registration is required. -Sophomores and Juniors! Would you like to do research at UC Davis this summer? The UC Davis Young Scholars Program offers summer research opportunities in biology and the natural sciences for high achieving high school students. Applications are due March 31. Come to the Career Center for more information and an application.
-Cold and flu season health tips: If you have a fever, vomiting or diarrhea, stay home until you are 24 hours fever-free. Remember to wash your hands with warm water, use hand sanitizer and cover your coughs with your elbows. Let's stay well, Blue Devils!
-Parents: Become involved in the high school next year! Join the Davis High PTA.
The Davis High PTA is seeking parent volunteers to serve on its board next year.
PTA positions opened are: treasurer, auditor, parliamentarian and secretary.
We have many returning Board members next year who can lend support if needed to anyone who is
interested but may be feeling as though they don't have the background in a certain position.
