-Davis High students continue to distinguish themselves! This time in the area of automotive technology! Saturday, February 4th, four ROP Auto students received gold medals for their winning performance at the SkillsUSA regional competition at American River College. Those students now qualify to compete at the state level. All students enrolled in the advanced auto course, which is called ROP Auto, are eligible to be on the SkillsUSA team. Go DHS ROP Auto students!

REMINDER!!! Applicants to AP Art studio for 2012-13 must turn in their portfolios DUE Friday, February 17 to any art teacher!

-Reminder - Participation in student activities is a privilege, is encouraged, and plays an important part in insuring that students have a well-rounded high school experience. Please don't earn a spot on the No Activities List by failing to follow DHS rules and expectations for behavior and attendance. Placement on the NAL would prevent you from participating in fun activities such as break-the record night, the black-light dance, and even playing on an athletic team. Follow guidelines that are designed to help you be successful. Don't go NAL!!

-Jazz Choir Tickets still available! Enjoy the music at the Cabaret Concert on Thursday, February 16 at 7:00pm in Brunelle Theatre. $10-Adults; $5-Students/Seniors.

-Still deciding where to go after high school? Up for a fun trip with friends? The City of Davis is sponsoring the SoCal Safari for a tour of 6 Southern California Universities including UCLA and UCSB. The trip runs from April 9 - April 12 and the cost is $490.00. For more information, visit www.davisteenscene.org<http://www.davisteenscene.org>.

-We are pleased to announce that DSHS has successfully submitted 2012 senior class verified GPA information for Cal Grants. This means students do not need to complete the paper GPA verification form to apply for a Cal Grant. To be considered for a Cal Grant, students must submit the FAFSA by March 2. Come to the Career Center N-17 if you have questions.
