-Sophomores interested in the DHS Baseball program should attend an information meeting on January 4th at 4:00pm at the DHS Varsity Baseball field.

- DHS Boys Volleyball- Pre-conditioning begins on January 3rd. Workouts will be Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4-5:30 in the DHS weight room. Tryouts start on February 6th. All 9th-12th grade boys are welcome. Any questions, email Julie Crawford at jcrawford at djusd.net

- For Lunch: Today we have a Rice Bowl with a choice of BBQ Beef, Mandarin Chicken, or Honey Fire Chicken (made from local, organic rice), and Curry Vegetables with Chick Peas with Naan Bread

-PSAT results will be available for pick up at any time today in the career Center.

-Friendship Day permission slips must be turned into Front Office Desk TODAY, December 16. Thank You!

-Today is the last day to bring new art supplies for the Community Art Reach Club drive for the children at Shriner's Hospital. Please bring any new art supplies and drop them off in the boxes placed around the school. The kids will really appreciate it! Thank you!

-CHiPS for Kids Toy Drive- Make a Child Happy this season! Bring a new, unwrapped toy to the DHS Front office Toy Drive Barrel today. Toys will be delivered to the children just before the holidays.

-Today is the last day to buy Holiday Grams- Spread some Holiday Cheer! Holiday grams will be sold today on the Quad by the Drama Department members. A standard gram is only 2.50 and a deluxe gram is $5.00 and includes fuzzy socks!

-GSA meets today in the East Room of the library. Please join us for lunch. Everyone is welcome.

-Attention: All students that have items in the locker rooms, please clean out your locker before you leave for winter break.

-Seniors: Need money for college? Then come to the DHS Financial Workshop on Thursday, January 19 at 7:00pm in the IPAB. At the workshop you'll learn how to apply for federal and state financial aid for college. All seniors and their parents are invited to attend. Come to the Career Center in room N-17 for more information.

-DHS Grad Night Tickets -Seniors and Parents-Time is running out -save $15 before Dec. 31 when you buy your senior's Davis Grad Night paperless ticket today! It's easy! Simply print out the form (email below), fill it out, write a $75 check, made payable to "Davis Grad Night", and mail all to the address below.  Prices go up after December 31.  An email confirmation will be sent after purchase; no ticket will be issued. And, check something else off your list - mail or scan in your senior's kindergarten photo for the Grad Night Kindergarten Wall. -Attention All DHS Instrumental Soloists- This year's annual DHS Orchestra Concerto Competition is being held Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at 7:00pm on stage in the DHS Dick Brunelle Performance Hall. It is open to all DHS instrumentalist. The winner of this competition will be given the honor of performing with the DHS Symphony Orchestra at the Mondavi Center in Jackson Hall at the Wennberg Music Festival on Saturday, March 31, 2012 at 2:00 pm as well as a check for $300.00. A sign-up sheet and informational flyer will be located starting Wednesday, December 14th on the window of the computer lab in PA-3. -Want to turn your trash into something useful? The Environmental Club is collecting clean, dry plastic bags, wrappers and saran wrap to build a bench. Look for flyers around school for more info and deposit your plastic bags and wrappers in the special bins in the science quad and main quad.

-RECYCLE REMINDER: The Green Recycle Bins are for Paper and Plastic ONLY! Cardboard Recycle is located in the Dumpster Area!

-Don't miss your chance to be part of Davis High Idol 2012! Students in grades 10-12 at any DJUSD school are eligible to compete in this wildly popular event hosted by the Advanced Treble Choir.
