- DHS Boys Volleyball- Pre-conditioning begins on January 3rd. Workouts will be Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4-5:30 in the DHS weight room. Tryouts start on February 6th. All 9th-12th grade boys are welcome. Any questions, email Julie Crawford at jcrawford at djusd.net

-Attn: Seniors: Make-up day ordering of Caps/Gowns/Tassels, Graduation Announcements & Class Rings is TODAY, December 15 from 2:15 to 3:30 pm in the quad. Ordering packets are available in the office.

-Class Rings: DHS Class Rings ordered earlier this year will be available for pick-up TODAY, December 15 from 2:15 to 3:30pm in the quad. New orders require a $50.00 deposit. Packets are available in the office

-PSAT results will be available for pick up at any time today and tomorrow in the career Center.

-Diablo's Sweet Shop - Today is the last day to buy peppermint bark in the quad at lunch. One bag is $1.50 and two bags are $2.50. Orders will be placed during the week and delivered during 4th period on Friday the 16th. All money goes towards DHS's ROP Food Service Class!

-"Winter Rhapsody" band concert is Tonight, Thursday December 15 at 7:30pm in the DHS Brunelle Theatre. This concert features the Davis High Concert Band (Mr. Clyde Quick, conductor) and the Davis High Symphonic Band (Mr. Fred Lange, conductor). A donation of $6-students/seniors, $8-General and $20-families will be asked.

-Join the Davis Lady Rugby Club! Practices are Mondays & Wednesdays 4:30-6:30, and Thursdays 3:00 to 5pm at the field by North Davis Elementary school. For more info email davisladyrugbyclub at yahoo.com

-Hey you! Looking for something today after school? How about coming to the Black Student Union movie @ 2:50pm 
in room P-23! Admission is $2.00 but once inside, the food is free! 

-German-American Exchange Program- Tonight there will be another meeting for parents and students interested in the German-American exchange scheduled for 2012. Please come to room N-15 tonight at 7:30pm.

-Seniors: Need money for college? Then come to the DHS Financial Workshop on Thursday, January 19 at 7:00pm in the IPAB. At the workshop you'll learn how to apply for federal and state financial aid for college. All seniors and their parents are invited to attend. Come to the Career Center in room N-17 for more information.

-DHS Grad Night Tickets -Seniors and Parents-Time is running out -save $15 before Dec. 31 when you buy your senior's Davis Grad Night paperless ticket today! It's easy! Simply print out the form (email below), fill it out, write a $75 check, made payable to "Davis Grad Night", and mail all to the address below.  Prices go up after December 31.  An email confirmation will be sent after purchase; no ticket will be issued. And, check something else off your list - mail or scan in your senior's kindergarten photo for the Grad Night Kindergarten Wall. Use U.S. Mail anytime: - Pop the form, check and kinder photo into an stamped envelope and mail to: Davis Grad Night Paperless Tickets, P.O. Box 2143 Davis, CA 95617. -Attention All DHS Instrumental Soloists- This year's annual DHS Orchestra Concerto Competition is being held Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at 7:00pm on stage in the DHS Dick Brunelle Performance Hall. It is open to all DHS instrumentalist. The winner of this competition will be given the honor of performing with the DHS Symphony Orchestra at the Mondavi Center in Jackson Hall at the Wennberg Music Festival on Saturday, March 31, 2012 at 2:00 pm as well as a check for $300.00. A sign-up sheet and informational flyer will be located starting Wednesday, December 14th on the window of the computer lab in PA-3. Also, you must email Mr. Moreno after you sign up at amoreno at djusd.net.
 Please provide your name, instrument, and the name of your piece.

-Friendship Day permission slips must be turned into Front Office Desk by this Friday, December 16. Thank You! 

-Community Art Reach Club will be holding an art supply drive all this week for the children at Shriner's Hospital. Please bring any new art supplies you can and drop them off in the boxes placed around the school. The kids will really appreciate it! Thank you!

-CHiPS for Kids Toy Drive- Make a Child Happy this season! Bring a new, unwrapped toy to the DHS Front office Toy Drive Barrel today thru December 16. Toys will be delivered to the children just before the holidays.

-Holiday Grams- Spread some Holiday Cheer! Holiday grams will be sold this week on the Quad by the Drama   Department members. A standard gram is only 2.50 and a deluxe gram is $5.00 and includes fuzzy socks!

-Want to turn your trash into something useful? The Environmental Club is collecting clean, dry plastic bags, wrappers and saran wrap to build a bench. Look for flyers around school for more info and deposit your plastic bags and wrappers in the special bins in the science quad and main quad.

-RECYCLE REMINDER: The Green Recycle Bins are for Paper and Plastic ONLY! Cardboard Recycle is located in the Dumpster Area!
