REMINDER
1. REMINDER: Do NOT put cardboard in the green recycling containers. That is only for recycled paper and they will not pick it up if it has cardboard in it. The cardboard recycling is the bigger, yard containers in the recycling area. Please use those. Also, if the recycling bin is full do not just throw stuff in it anyways as the papers fly all over the place and creates a huge mess.

1. INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY: The Gap in Davis is offering an unpaid internship program for students interested in learning about fashion, merchandising, or business. Interns will learn all aspects of The Gap including the hiring and training process, The Gap business concept, product receiving, displaying, and marketing, and more. Interns can start immediately. Days and hours are flexible. Come to the Scholarship and Financial Aid Office next to counseling for contact information.
2. Do you have a talent that you want to show off to the world? Then audition for 'Davis Got Talent' for a chance to win awesome cash prizes! Pick up an application from the office, library or the music room today!
3. Ni Hao! See you at the Chinese Club this Tuesday at lunch in room N-15A for an awesome time of learning about Glorious Chinese Culture and playing fun games. Remember Tuesday at lunch in N-15A!
4. Would you like to learn about an opportunity to host a foreign exchange student in your home this spring! Well then come to Cultural Exchange Club on Tuesday in P-14 for more information. See you there!
5. Interested in learning about Persian Culture come down to Persian Student Union at lunch October 19 in room L-20.
6. Are you ready to hand out the love? There will be a Random Acts of Kindness Club meeting this Wednesday in L-20 at lunch. Any new members are welcome!
7. Independent Lifetime Sports students: The make up day for physical fitness testing is Thursday October 28th during the 7th period block: If you missed the original test day or didn't finish all the testing, you need to come dressed out to the gym and complete your tests with Mr. Ariola. We will be doing another round of different fitness tests during the 2nd quarter. Any questions see your Independent Lifetime Sports teacher. IMPORTANT!!! The last day to turn in weekly logs and assignments for the 1st quarter is October 25th at lunch during our regularly scheduled time. Late work will not be accepted after that!
