REMINDER
1. Seniors: This week is the Senior Panoramic Picture. This picture will be taken on Wednesday, November 17, at 11:45 am in the New Gym. There are a few rules you must follow to be allowed in the photo: Bring your current school ID. No ID card, no entrance. Don't miss your opportunity, be dressed in appropriate school dress, and behave appropriately, don't be late! The photographer is here once, and will not delay the shot because you wanted to stop at your locker first. Please pick up your Panoramic Group Picture order form in the front office. Pictures are $18.00 and must be pre-ordered. If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Fontaine in room A-7 or your school administration.
2. Attention Devils! Want an opportunity to be in the yearbook and show your school spirit? Make sure to participate in Blue Friday this week because yearbook will be taking pictures of spirited students.

1. Interested in engineering, technology or programming? Would you like real life experience and to participate in a prestigious regional competition at UC Davis? The Robotics Club meets Thursdays at the Da Vinci High school in room 19 from 2:50 to 5:00pm. All high school students are welcome
2. Attention all DHS Clubs if you are interested in having your clubs photo in the yearbook you need to get a form from the office and fill it out and return it by Friday, November 19th. Spots will be chosen on a first come first serve basis so turn it in ASAP to room A-7 or box in office.
3. Did you know you can save someone's life in less time than it takes to watch a movie? It's true. Giving blood takes about an hour. Your donation is used to help people who need it urgently. The first Davis High School Blood Drive of the year is scheduled for Friday, Dec. 3. Giving blood is safe and easy. To donate blood, you must be at least 16 years old (with a parent consent form), weigh at least 110 pounds, and be free from cold or flu symptoms for at least 48 hours. For more information, please see Mrs. Youtsey in the Nurse's Office.
4. Interested in traveling to Italy and Greece? Come to an informational meeting on Friday during lunchtime in room S7.
5. The Davis FFA Holiday Tree Fundraiser. All proceeds to benefit youth enrolled in agriculture classes at Davis Senior High School. Ask an FFA member/Ag student to take your pre-sale order before noon on Friday, December 3rd. Trees will be distributed to buyers on Saturday, December 11th (9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.) and Monday, December 13th (4:00-6:00pm). Bring pre-ordered sales receipt to the Davis High School Agriculture Department's land lab located on Oak Street between 14th and Covell via the stadium parking lot. 6. MADRIGAL DINNER OPPORTUNITY on Friday, December 3rd reservations still available. Join the Davis community as the Davis High Madrigal Singers entertain and delight the Friday evening audience with music and singing a celebration of Olde English Christmas Tradition. Hors d'oeuvres at 6:30pm and dinner at 7:15pm, tickets are $40 each. 2. ARE YOU READY FOR THE NEXT CAML TEST CHALLENGE? CAML Test #2 is Tuesday, November 16 during lunch. CAML tests can be taken at any math room. During the first CAML test we had 9 perfect scores. We are currently tied for first place with 11 other schools in our state. Ask your math teachers about extra credit.
3. This week GSA will be meeting today at lunch. We will discuss this week's importance National Transgender Week of Remembrance.

2. Attention All DHS Instrumental Soloist: This year's annual DHS Orchestra Concerto Competition is being held Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at 7:00 PM on stage in the DHS Dick Brunelle Performance Hall. It is open to all DHS instrumentalist. The winner of this competition will be given the honor of performing with the DHS Symphony Orchestra at the Mondavi Center in Jackson Hall at the Wennberg Music Festival Sunday, April 17, 2011 at 3:00 PM as well as a check for $250. A sign up sheet and informational flyer will be located starting Monday November 15th on the window of the computer lab in PA-3. Also you must email Mr. Moreno at amoreno at djusd.k12.ca.us<mailto:amoreno at djusd.k12.ca.us> if you are intending on signing up and if you have any questions.
3. Don't miss the "Jazz Extravaganza" presented by the Davis High School Jazz Band, with director Fred Lange, at 7:30 p.m. Friday November 19 at the Brunelle Performing Arts Building. This annual concert will feature guest artist trombonist Eric Burger, a 1970's graduate of Davis High School. Suggested donation is $8.00 general/$6.00 students and seniors.
