Hi all,We wanted to summarize for you all the Band happenings in March, it's a doozy!  More details and more sign up Geniuses are coming soon for certain events, but we wanted you to get them on your calendars now:

March 6: Band Boosters meeting  7:30 pm band room
March 7: Disney trip meeting: Mandatory for parents and students 7 pm band room    trip leaders: Sue Hussey smhuss29 at gmail.com and Melinda Grow boom5of9 at gmail.com

March 8: Symphonic band:  Sonoma State Festival    We were unable to get enough drivers, and the call time is way earlier than previously announced, so we're going to go by bus.  But we still need some chaperones and we'll still need 2-3 drivers (one bus won't hold everyone, so we'll just have a couple cars go also).

March 16: Save the Music in Paradise Festival: DHS Brunelle, all day starting at 9 am     who will be performing: ensembles from DJUSD and nearby schools, as well as Paradise Junior High and High School band students to perform in a combined Festival Band.

    This all day DJUSD festival, hosted by Mr. S and the DHS Bands, to raise funds to help the Paradise Unified School District music program to replace equipment, instruments, uniforms, and sheet music destroyed by the Camp Fire, and to support the students and families that have been displaced.  Monetary donations will be accepted all day with 100% of proceeds donated to the Paradise Music program. 
    The DHS Band Boosters will be taking shifts thru the day to greet those in the lobby attending the festival, and to encourage and accept donations.  Afterwards we'll host a pot luck dinner for the students and families.  So we'll need your help that day to meet/greet/take donations, and for the pot luck.  Sign up Genius coming soon!

March 20: Check in for Disney student travelers: starting at 7 pm, band room    More info to come at the March 7 meeting, but this evening is when we check all their luggage, instruments, medications, etc.  We'll need parent volunteers to help run this event smoothly and quickly.  Sign ups coming later, just wanted you to have it on your radar that it's another time we'll need help.      trip leaders: Sue Hussey smhuss29 at gmail.com and Melinda Grow boom5of9 at gmail.com
