[Dhsbb-jazz] Fwd: 2016-17 DHS Band Officer Council

Hi all,

I am proud to announce the members of the 2016-17 DHS Band Officer Council. There was widespread desire to serve the band in various ways by the incoming Senior Class, a testament to the students and their dedication to the program. The desire was so great, that I expanded the membership and created a new position on the council. Here is a list of the student names and a brief position description.

Student Pep Band Leaders: Jesse Brandt & Hunter Sprague
These students work closely with the director to organize, coordinate, and prepare the pep band for performances. This includes assisting with rehearsals, conducting in performances of the

Pep Band Librarians: Anita Hashimoto & Sabrina Borchard
These students work closely with the director to organize, coordinate, and prepare the pep band for performances by taking attendance, distributing sheet music, collecting sheet music, and maintaining the pep band music library.

Road Crew Captains: David Best & Giancarlo Igelsrud
These students work closely with the director to organize, coordinate the movement and set-up of all equipment for all off-campus performances. They also work closely with the Stage Managers to assist them in on-campus events.

Stage Managers – Symphonic and Concert Bands: Chiara Crenna-Armstrong & Marissa Wong
These students work closely with the director to organize, coordinate the movement and set-up of all equipment for all on-campus performances. They also work closely with the Road Crew Captains to assist them in off-campus events.

Stage Managers – Jazz Band: Aaron Bushnell
This student works closely with the director to organize, coordinate the movement and set-up of all equipment for all on-campus performances. They also work closely with the Road Crew Captains to assist them in off-campus events.

New Position - Percussion Quartermaster: Ryan Cobar
This student works closely with the director to maintain and repair the large amount of percussion equipment used by the entire band program.

I’m incredibly proud of these fine students and their dedication to the entire band program. Please offer them your sincere congratulations.
