[Dhsbb-jazz] New Orleans Jazz Band Trip Notice

Hi Jazz Band Families,
The band sounded great yesterday!  
 
We managed to get the green trip info letters to most parents at the event  
yesterday.  About 4 or 5 students took them home  - if you did  not attend 
the gig yesterday, please ask your student for the letter  that they brought 
home for you.  
 
It is VERY IMPORTANT that you read the letter  carefully and turn pages 2 
and 3 back in to us no later than FRIDAY OCT  23rd.
 
I know this is a big decision and timing is short, but we were able to get  
a fantastic deal on the airline ($100 less than when the jazz band went on 
this  trip 4 years ago!) and we must secure the seats with a deposit in just 
9 more  days.  While we do hope to take this trip, we will not travel if we 
do not  have a viable band or adequate funding, and we can only determine 
this if we  have those forms returned with all information filled in.  

Also, I  have reserved airline seats to accommodate students and chaperones 
at this  point.  If there are a great many additional parents who wish to 
come along  I will try to secure more seats, although the price may be a bit 
higher since  the seats go up in price all the time, especially as the 
airplane fills.  
 
So please look for those green forms - read them - call me or email with  
any questions - and return them to the band room by this FRIDAY or drop them 
in  the mail by Tues or Wed to be sure they are in our PO Box by Friday.
