[Dhsbb-jazz] Football and Music - 2nd Annual Monday Night Football Fundraiser for DHS Bands

We are kicking off our 2nd Annual Monday Night Football Fundraiser/Game to help support the DHS Band Boosters for the DHS Bands Spring Trip and other Band Activities!

I am confident that all of you of have family members and friends that enjoy football – as much as music :)  It will add excitement to watching their Monday Night Football games!  They'll love it!

It's a win/win fundraiser. Everyone gets 4 chances per game to win back some or all of their donation.  Can't beat those odds ;-) We'll pay out $2125 over the course of 16 weeks (17 games) to the winners and we'll earn just under $3000.  All proceeds will be donated to the DHS Band Boosters (for the 2014-15 Band activities, trips and festivals)!

Here is how it works:
1. The pool consists of 100 squares on a standard 10x10 matrix sheet. We are hoping that each family can sell 1 or 2 squares. If you can sell more than 2, that is great, we'll fill the grid faster!

2. Please turn the cash or checks into the Boosters as quickly as possible. Checks should be made out to DHS Band Boosters.

3. Once you sell a square, email John Horn (john.a.horn at intel.com<mailto:john.a.horn at intel.com>) the following information:
a. the name of the person
b. who sold the square
c. The email of the person buying the square
d. which square they would like (2 across, 7 down or doesn’t matter).
The squares are on a 1st come, 1st served basis, and if that square is already taken, the next square to the right, left, up or down will be chosen based on availability.

In order to know which music family sold the square, we will put your last name next to their name. For example, Bob Smith (Horn).

4. The cost for each square is $50. We will payout $25 for the first three quarter winners and $50 to the final score winner. We will play 17 Monday Night Football games this year; 17 X 4 (68) chances to win!!!  The first game is NY Giants @ Detroit Lions Monday 9/8 at 4:10pm  (2 games that night).

5. The numbers 0-9 will be drawn randomly and assigned to the top row and the drawn again for the first column. The numbers (0-9) will be redrawn for each week using a deck of cards.  The sheets for each week will be sent out to the participants by Monday noon of each week. The last digit of the score will be used to determine the winners for each quarter.    For example, of the score after the 1st qrtr is Giants 13, Lions 10, the numbers corresponding to 3 on the visiting side and 0 on the home side will be the 1st quarter winner.

6. We will email the participants with the pool numbers spreadsheets for each of the 17 weeks.

7. When one of your family/friend participants wins, the money for their winnings will be given to you for distribution or send to them directly, based on their desire.  Correspondence will be via email.

8. Finally, the squares of the participants will be the same for the 16 weeks, BUT different numbers will be drawn for each week i.e. no square is better than the other – equal chances no matter which square you have!
