Attention Parents! All great instrumental musicians started in beginning band or orchestra at one time. Is your child going to be the next superstar?

Sign-ups for beginning band and strings in the Davis Joint Unified School District will happen at the following parent information meetings. If you would like your child to be a part of our award winning music program, please read below and attend one of the following meetings. Attendance is required at only one of these meetings!

If you child is interested in participating in Beginning Band (Flute, Clarinet, Saxophone, Trumpet, Trombone, or Drums)

1) Beginning Band is for students enrolled in 5th or 6th grade only.
2) The beginning band student and a parent MUST attend one of the following informational meetings.
·      Tuesday, September 9, 2014, beginning at 7:30 p.m. at DHS THEATER
·      Wednesday, September 10, 2014, beginning at 7:30 p.m. at DHS THEATER
3) Please plan on staying through this meeting to learn about how the program works. After the meeting concludes, students will receive their first lesson on their new instrument!

1) Beginning Strings is for students enrolled in 4th, 5th, or 6th grade only.
2) The beginning string student and a parent MUST attend one of the following informational meetings.

If your child attends Birch Lane or Willett Elementary schools, please attend this meeting on Monday, September 8, 2014, beginning at 7:30 p.m. held at PATWIN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
If your child attends Patwin or Chavez Elementary schools, please attend this meeting on Tuesday, September 9, 2014, beginning at 7:30 p.m. held at PATWIN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

If your child attends Pioneer or Montgomery Elementary schools, please attend this meeting on Wednesday, September 10, 2014, beginning at 7:30 p.m. held at PATWIN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

If your child attends Korematsu or North Davis Elementary schools, please attend this meeting on Thursday, September 11, 2014, beginning at 7:30 p.m. held at PATWIN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
