[Dhsbb-jazz] Tuba Christmas 2013

Hi all,

Throughout the nation, Tuba players (including Baritone, Euphonium, Sousaphone, Tuba, and just about any really low pitched brass instrument [sorry, NOT Trombones!]) get together and play a whole lot of Christmas Carols. Frankly, it is a hoot to participate in such an ensemble and it is a whole lot of fun sitting in the audience as well! I am attaching the information and registration materials for Sacramento’s Tuba Christmas, this year to be held on Saturday, December 14th, at McClatchy High School. Low brass players - You should attend and have a lot of fun! Everyone else - You should go see this spectacle! After all, where else will you see 150 tubas playing “Frosty the Snowman!”

Yup, DHS students can use this to earn points in an outside performance or as a concert write up.
