[Dhsbb-jazz] Canned Foods and Holiday Gifts being collected on DHS Quad Nov 15-18

There are thousands of people still living in the Relief Centers in Baton Rouge and New Orleans who will have very meager holidays this year.  With this in mind, the Davis Katrina Relief effort is holding a holiday gift and toy drive at Davis High School next week to collect as many gifts and toys as possible for children, teenagers and adults. Please bring your gifts and new or gently used toys for donation to the collection site on the Quad at lunch from Tuesday through Friday, the 15th through the 18th.  The donations will be trucked to Louisiana and distributed to 17 relief centers there.  
 
There will also be a simultaneous canned food drive for Short-Term Emergency Aid, to help needy local families this holiday season; please bring donations of canned foods to the Quad as well.
