VI.	Old business

A. Street Sweeping. Because of objections from several residents, we
have asked City Council to put a temporary hold on the proposed,
alternate-side, early morning parking restriction which was intended to
facilitate street sweeping. Please join us for a discussion on this.
Should we go forward with that approach? Or, should we pursue
alternatives? If so, what would you suggest?

B. Fifth Street, update (Tracy or Winterhalder). After nearly three
years work, resolution of this issue will come before Council on 7
February. Public works, still overtly resisting, has acknowledged
that the ON plan is the only way to meet the Saylor conditions, passed
last October. Informational update and planning session.

C. Historic Old North signs (John, Tony & Heather). Update on our
effort to place OND Heritage signs throughout ON. You can see a
mock-up illustration and examples of similar installations in other
cities on the ON web site.

Dear Fellow Resident of Old North Davis,

As board members of our Old North association, we are especially
concerned that every resident and organization know about events and
proposals that affect our neighborhood––the area bounded by B, G, 5th,
7th streets. Expressing that concern, we write to invite you to sign
up for the Old North Davis Neighborhood Association free informational
e-mail service.

The instructions below tell you how you can sign up (and/or to join
the ONDNA). A leaflet describing Old North and the Old North Davis
Neighborhood Association is attached. We hope you will find it
informative and helpful.

We urge you to join the ONDNA if you are not already a member. Better
still, become active in one of the projects described in the leaflet or
start a new project that seeks to improve and to celebrate our
wonderful area!

Cordially, Members of the ONDNA Board of Directors
