From oldeastdavis at omsoft.com Thu Jul 28 01:16:14 2005 From: oldeastdavis at omsoft.com (Old East Davis) Date: Thu, 28 Jul 2005 01:16:14 -0700 Subject: [OldNorth] OED: Neighborhood Meeting Thursday July 28th on Mixed Use Zone Amendments Message-ID: All - There will be a neighborhood meeting for all neighbors interested in proposed changes to the Mixed Use zoning language. As you may know, the properties between the railroad tracks and the alley west of I Street are planned to change from Commercial/Service to Mixed Use, and there is a general idea that Mixed Use will serve as a buffer zoning type between Commercial and residential, so these changes potentially affect all living near the downtown. The proposed language changes can be found in the staff report at : http://www.cityofdavis.org/meetings/councilpackets/20050712/06_MU_Zoning_District.pdf Below is the original invitation from the Community Development Department.... --- Hello all, City staff has been invited to the Old North Neighborhood Association's monthly meeting next Thursday, July 28th to discuss the proposed Mixed Use Zone Amendments. The meeting will be held at the Hattie Weber Museum at 445 C Street between 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM. Any interested neighborhood representatives from the Old East and University/Rice Lane neighborhoods are also invited to attend. The mayor, Ruth Asmundson, has agreed to continue the second reading of the Mixed Use Amendments to the August 1st Council meeting to allow time for the neighborhood meeting. Please note that the August 1st Council meeting is a morning meeting and will begin at 8:30 AM. I have just viewed the archives of both the Old North Board and the general Old North Neighborhood Association email lists for the month of July to date, and Worley's invitation isn't there, except as an inclustion in the OED email quoted below. Nor do I have it in my own Old North email file. So who exactly got Worley's invitation??
