[OldNorth] Landmarks at HRMC meeting tonight

Significant alterations to three Davis Landmarks are the 
subject of hearings at the Historic Resources Management
Committee Monday July 25th:

The Community Church (possible dual ramp addition to front
entrance, other additions)

Varsity Theater - Hunt-Bower Mansion property, particularly
the Hunt-Bower Pump House, which is under consideration for
demolition in connection with development of a coffee house
retail building on the pump house area of the HB lot as
part of the management/reuse/privitization project for 
the Varsity Theater (also a landmark) next door.

The Pump House is an integral part of the Hunt-Bower Mansion
Landmark, which is on the National Register.

Come and see the future of  Historic Preservation in Davis, 
and while you're at it, stop by the "reuse" of the 
Old City Hall as a restaurant, now nearing completion.
