=====

Shortly after the opening of the Mondavi Center
I pointed out to the Mondavi management and various other
organizations concerned with transportation that while
I live in the center of Davis, Mondavi might as well be
on the far side of the moon, since "you can't get there
from here" by public transit, a situation that is even worse
on weekends and evenings. Mondavi seems to have been
primarily planned as a "regional" center for the
well-heeled equipped with private autos, and to be
accessed from the freeway.

The Mondavi Web site's directions all assume approach
from I-80.
