Notice of Public Hearing The City Council of the City of Davis will conduct a
Public Hearing to consider establishing a Special Preferential Parking
District (N Permit Area) at a meeting beginning at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday,
November 9, 2004 in the Community Chambers, City Offices, 23 Russell
Boulevard, Davis, California. Please contact the City Clerk’s office at (530)
757-5648 for the approximate time this item will be heard. Location: Old North
Davis Neighborhood, Fifth Street to Seventh Street between B and G Streets; *
Sixth Street between B and C Streets, north side only; *Sixth Street between C
and G Streets, both sides; * Seventh Street between B and G Streets, both
sides; *C Street between Fifth and Sixth Street, east side only; *C Street
between Sixth and Seventh Streets, both sides; *D, E and F Streets between
Fifth and Seventh Streets, both sides; *G Street between Fifth and Sixth
Street, both sides; and *G Street between Sixth and Seventh Street, west side
only. Project Description: The special parking district, N Permit Area, will
include a marked parking space in front of each residence. The marked space
will be available to all permit holders residing within the district and is
not assigned to the residences. The unmarked parking spaces will be available
for public parking. The N Permit Area prohibits parking between 8 a.m. and 5
p.m., Monday through Friday, except with a Permit. Availability of Documents:
Staff report is available for review at the Public Works Department, 1717 5th
Street, Davis, CA, (530) 757-5686. Staff reports are also available at local
copy shops and online at www.cityofdavis.org Friday prior to the meeting.
Public Comments: All interested parties are invited to attend the public
hearing or send written comments to the Public Works Department no later than
the hearing date. Correspondence regarding this project may be directed to
Roxanne Namazi (rnamazi at cityofdavis.org). The City does not transcribe its
proceedings. Persons who wish to obtain a verbatim record should arrange for
attendance by a court reporter or for some other acceptable means of
recordation. Such arrangement will be at the sole expense of the person
requesting the recordation. If you challenge the action taken on this matter
in court, the challenge may be limited to raising only those issues raised at
the public hearing described in this notice, or in written correspondence
delivered to the Public Works Department or City Clerk at, or prior to, the
