Forwarded Message from Esther Polito:

Dear Old North Davis residents:

This email is to advise you that the city has received applications for to
build adjacent accessory structures along the alley in the rear of the
houses at 616 and 618 E Street. Architect applicant for both projects is
Scott Neeley & Associates.

The owners of 616 E wish to add a small cottage on the north rear of their
lot, adjacent to 618 E Street. They will retain their south rear one car
garage. New fencing and landscaping are also planned.

Owners of 618 E propose to add a one car garage on the south rear
(immediately adjacent to their neighbor's new cottage). They will also rehab
their north rear existing cottage and add new fencing and landscaping.

These projects are possible using a provision in the recently approved R2-CD
that allows reduced side yard setback for adjacent accessory structures.
Staff has not yet completed initial review of the applications. Once
complete, notices will be mailed to all residents and property owners within
500 ft.

At this time, staff anticipates an administrative design review process for
both projects, plus an administrative Certificate of Appropriateness for 616
E Street, which is a designated Merit Resource.

"Administrative" means that no public hearings will be scheduled, unless
neighborhood concerns are raised that justify the need for a full hearing.

Plans for these projects are available for review at the city. The sites
will be posted later this week.

Please contact me if you have any questions.

Sincerely,

Esther Polito
