Tree Harper & Friends of Frances 2025-26 Winner: drum roll... Rainbow 67!

[Harper 2030]

Tree Harper & Friends of Frances Fund Razor IX has concluded. For 18 years
Mr. McKim has been enlisting Harper students and community members to
improve our campus/world via Tree Harper & Friends of Frances. He grows his
beard out in November, then asks for donations to pay for trees, tools, and
snacks for volunteers. After the deadline of midnight Saturday Dec 13, he
shaved the beard and colored it in one of four embarrassing styles that
Tree Harper students came up with. The style he shaved is the top vote
getter. $1 per vote (whether your choice wins or not!). Note that this is
an environmentally sustainable fundraiser: no T-shirts, no chocolate bars
or trinkets that cost our planet due to their packaging, their contribution
to landfills, their fossil-fuel transportation needs, etc.

*Thank you* to all 21 donors who helped us raise* $1,135* to buy trees for
our campus! Donations ranged from $3 to $150! Every dollar is important!

Competition Drama!
Rainbow 67 was in lead for a week,
then Truffula started making a comeback,
and at 11:00pm on deadline night,
Truffula surpassed Rainbow 67 with our largest donation of the drive.
That donation took us over the $1,000 point! - forcing me to wear the beard
two days!
Then, at 11:30 pm, another generous donor tipped it back to Rainbow 67!
Rainbow 67 received the most individual donations
 - it was the winner in both amount and in the popular vote.
