Trinity River Hatchery (TRH) began their trapping/recovery efforts after Labor Day. There was a little mechanical issue to start off but they have once again overcome the condition of the old equipment out there and have had a couple of
trap days. Just an FYI, TRH will be the recipients of some modernization during the next couple of years. The Bureau of Reclamation has found some grant money to finally give TRH some much needed updating. Cheers to Reclamation and their fine staff for their
efforts to secure the funding!

Junction City weir operated as normal during JW 36. Willow Creek weir, on the other hand, continued to have severely curtailed trapping due to the warm water temperatures, with the crew there trapping only a couple of hours in the early
morning (hence the low fish numbers). We are hoping for a cooling trend that will allow us to trap overnight, and looking forward to seeing some happy fish (and much bigger numbers of them)!
