Hello fishy folks,

Attached is the Klamath River fall Chinook Salmon megatable, updated with preliminary estimates for the 2025 run and final numbers for 2024. Returns in 2025 exceeded the forecast by a healthy margin, but remain well below what we would like to see. The good news is that the stock is out of the “overfished” status for the first time since 2017, and is now designated as “rebuilding.” As the name implies, we aren’t out of the woods yet. Another promising sign is that we had a pretty good run of jacks in 2025. With any luck we will see their siblings return in strong numbers as three year olds next year. Only time can tell.
