WEAVERVILLE, Calif. – The Bureau of Reclamation, Trinity River Restoration
Program, along with agency co-leads Bureau of Land Management and North
Coast Regional Water Quality Control Board and cooperating agency
Shasta-Trinity National Forest, announce the availability of a draft
Environmental Assessment/Initial Study for the proposed Dutch Creek channel
rehabilitation project.
The Trinity River Restoration Program is a multi-agency program with eight
partners forming the Trinity Management Council, as well as numerous other
collaborators. The TRRP implements the 2000 Department of the Interior

River fisheries impacted by dam construction and related diversions of the
Trinity River Division of the Central Valley Project. The TRRP proposes to
construct the Dutch Creek channel rehabilitation project to increase salmon
and steelhead habitat downstream of Lewiston Dam, and plans to implement
within the next two years. The draft EA/IS was prepared in accordance with
the National Environmental Policy Act and the California Environmental
Quality Act and is available at
