We had an good pubic meeting in Junction City last night. Thanks to those
folks who attended for your time.
For those who were unable to attend or are interested in written project
details, please refer to the currently available Draft Deep Gulch and
Sheridan Creek environmental document. Chapter 2 of this document includes
a detailed project description and Chapter 3 analyses the potential
environmental impacts associated with implementing the proposed project
(e.g., traffic and noise impacts, etc.). A full copy of the document is

*Reclamation Announces Draft EA/IS and Public Meeting on Deep Gulch and
Sheridan Creek Rehabilitation Project*
WEAVERVILLE, Calif. – The Bureau of Reclamation, along with the Bureau of
Land Management (federal co-lead agencies) and the North Coast Regional
Water Quality Control Board (state lead agency), announce a draft
Environmental Assessment/Initial Study (EA/IS) and a public meeting for the
Trinity River Restoration Program’s (TRRP) proposed Deep Gulch and Sheridan
Creek Rehabilitation Project. The project is scheduled for implementation
in the summer of 2017.
The TRRP proposes to construct the Deep Gulch and Sheridan Creek channel
rehabilitation project to increase salmon and steelhead habitat downstream
of Lewiston Dam, as authorized in the December 19, 2000, Record of Decision
for the Trinity River Mainstem Fishery Restoration Environmental Impact
Statement. The public meeting will be held:
*Junction City, Calif.*: Wednesday, March 15, 6 to 8 p.m., North Fork
Grange Hall, 131 Dutch Creek Road
The meeting will be in an open house format for the public to meet TRRP and
Partner personnel, learn about the proposal, ask questions and provide
input. Written comments will be accepted at the meeting.
The draft EA/IS, which evaluates potential project impacts to the
environment, was created in accordance with the National Environmental
Policy Act and the California Environmental Quality Act. To view the
