ACADEMICS/OPORTUNITIES/EVENTS: Sophomores and Juniors! The Portal for entering your classes for next year closes on March 9. Make sure you get your classes entered!
If you turned in a Drawing Portfolio for next year's AP class, you may come to A-1 to pick up your portfolio. The acceptance list is posted in the front window of A1.
CAASPP: Juniors will participate in CAASPP testing this month. Sophomores and Seniors will and participate in assemblies during CAASPP testing. ELA - Wed, 3/18 & Thurs, 3/19,Math - Wed, 3/25 & Thurs, 3/26 Science - Wed, 5/20 & Thurs, 5/21
Seniors the 2020 Graduation Speech Applications are now available. Please pick up an application form from Ms. Marlen Cabrera in the office if you are interested in being selected to speak at Graduation.

DHS Jazz Choir Cabaret Tickets On Sale Now -Tickets for the Davis High School Jazz Choir Cabaret performances are on sale now. A dinner show will be held on Saturday, March 21, starting at 5p.m., and features a catered buffet dinner. A matinee show will be held on Sunday, March 22 at 2p.m. and features a dessert buffet bar. Both shows will be held at Emerson Junior High. The Cabaret is the choir's most elaborate production of the year. This year's events boast delicious food, hand-made craft mocktails, silent auction, and fabulous musical performances running throughout both shows. CLUBS: Attention all eligible Senior males, your time to shine, is now! Mr. Blue Devil applications are in ASC-100 ready for you to come and pick them up. Get ready to strut your stuff and show off your talents. Whoop whoop.
Hey everybody! Construction on the DHS rain garden has begun! Spots are filling up so make sure to get to Environmental club before it's too late! Thursdays, in S-10.
Student Government apps are available in ASC-100 or main office.
Attention Ballers! You have until Wednesday (03/04) to submit your application to play in the Student vs Staff basketball game! Applications are in ASC-100 and you turn them in at the same place.
CAREERS: The City of Davis if offering a half-day event called "University of You" to help high school students become successful and responsible adults. Topics will include navigating college, finances, self-care and job interview preparation. University of You is this Saturday, March 7 from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm at Davis Veterans Memorial Center. Light refreshments will be provided. Come to the Career Center for more information.
SOPHOMORES AND JUNIORS: If you would you like to do research at UC Davis this summer, the UC Davis Young Scholars Program offers high achieving students a six-week summer research program from June 21 - August 1 in biology and natural sciences at UC Davis. Students stay in a UCD dorm and conduct research, participate in lab work, go on field trips and earn five units of university group credit. Applications are due March 16. Come to the Career Center for information about the program, fees, and financial assistance.
