Field Hockey: Attention Athletes who are interested in trying out for the the Fall 2020 DHS Girls Field Hockey Teams. There will be a meeting Tuesday February 4th at 7pm in the All Student Center at DHS. This meeting is for athletes and parents to meet the coaches, receive information about the team, season and spring/summer training opportunities. Davis High Basketball Break The Record Night is Friday, January 31 vs Cosumes Oaks. Come enjoy four exciting games: JV Girls-3:00pm; JV Boys-4:30pm; Varsity Girls-6:00pm; Varsity Boys-7:30pm. Applications are being accepted for the CIF Scholar-Athlete. Deadline is February 5. The two State winners (1 boy and 1 girl) will each receive a $5,000 scholarship and the 20 Section winners (1 boy and 1 girl per CIF Section) will receive a $1,000 scholarship. Davis high and DaVinci high school are creating an E-sports team. If you are interested in participating, there will be an informational meeting this Thursday at DaVinci high school at 4pm in rm11a. See Mr. McBurney for further details

ACADEMICS/OPORTUNITIES/EVENTS: Come support Davis High School's ATC by seeing students perform at Davis High Idol! Our performers are Avital Schwartz, Pratheeka Budamaguata, Gabby Marquez, Zoe Poppenga, Kristabell Lor, Maya Belk,Emily Landerman, Emily Chapman, Matteo Nouve, Atticus King, and Claudia Peri! Tickets are now on sale for finals on February 1st students price-$10 pre-sale and $12 at the door, adults cost $15. We will have guest on like UCD's acapella group the Spokes, and last year's winner Lily Linaweiver as well for all three nights. Our MSs will be Catie Fee and Graham Segel! We hope to see you there!
AMC-12B Davis High Math Department is hosting the AMC 12B test at 8:00AM Wednesday February 5th at Vet's Memorial Center. We have enough tests for 100 students and invitations will come out on Monday in your math class. The first 100 to accept will be get the opportunity to compete. Please return your acceptances to the invitation to your math teacher TODAY if you want to be included in this competition.
All students signed up to take the Advanced Placement Language and Composition Exam in May: This week is the first of your lunchtime study sessions. You may choose lunch on Wednesday the 28th OR lunch on Friday the 31st. This week's topic is "what to expect on the multiple-choice section." Please check your student email for the February, March, and April topics. Any questions, please see Mrs. Guerard. All meetings unless otherwise noted will be in room P21.

Senior Parents - Submit Kinder Photos - Help us make your student's Grad Night extra special! Each senior should submit a wallet-size digital Kindergarten head shot photo (approx. 2x3 inches) for the popular Kindergarten Wall at Grad Night - the students love to search for their younger selves and their friends throughout the night. CLUBS: Hi Blue Devils, CSF spring registration is 02/03-02/13 @ lunch in room P-13. We will not be registering on Friday 02/14. Pink applications can be found in P-13,the library,and the office. To register bring $5, a completed pink application, and completed green hours sheet if you have one, and your report card from last semester.

CAREERS: The City of Davis has two temporary part-time summer jobs available for a lifeguard and a swim instructor. Applicants must be at least 15 years old and have swimming skills. Deadline to apply is February 3. Come to the Career Center for a job flyer.
The Rotary Club is offering two all-expense paid summer camps in June for high school juniors. Camp Royal leadership-training camp is filled with ideas and strategies to help students become more effective leaders. Camp Venture is a motivational summer camp for students interested in pursuing a career in business, particularly as entrepreneurs. Deadline to apply is February 21. Applications are available in the Career Center.
