MENU DHS: Breakfast Served Daily:  Cereal w/Graham Cracker, Breakfast Pizza, Assorted Breakfast Sandwiches, Scones, Breakfast Burrito, Chicken & Cheese Quesadilla, Pancakes w/ Sausage, Assorted Muffins, Chicken & Biscuit Slider, Yogurt Parfait w/Graham Cracker. Grab & Go Hot Chocolate & Muffin & Fruit Cinnamon Rolls.

ACADEMICS/OPORTUNITIES/EVENTS: AP: The last day to submit accommodations requests to College Board is tomorrow, January 17, 2020. Students who currently have an IEP or a 504 Plan with testing accommodations must see their school counselor to confirm they have been approved for testing accommodations during AP Exams.  Only students who have been approved by College Board are eligible to receive testing accommodations on their AP Exam.

YEARBOOK: Attention Senior Parents! Make sure your senior has a keepsake of this important year. Deadlines for purchasing a yearbook and/or a commemorative ad are coming up! Go to the school website at http://dshs.djusd.net/ and click on “Yearbook Website” on the left to purchase a yearbook directly from Walsworth.  If you are not sure if you have purchased a yearbook already, Please check the list posted outside the Finance window .Prices and deadlines for yearbook pre-sales are as follows: Until Jan. 17: $110. A limited number of books will be available for sale in May for $125. PURCHASE A SENIOR AD Share your memories and a congratulatory message with your graduate by purchasing a senior ad. Go to the school website and, under the “Student Life” tab, click on “Yearbook Website” on the left. Scroll down to find the “Senior Ad” link. You will submit text and photos; the yearbook staff will design it to match the rest of the ads in the section. Senior ads may be submitted between now and Friday, Jan. 10. No senior ads can be purchased after Jan. 10. Here are the prices: Full page ad: $280, 1/2 page ad: $175, 1/4 page ad: $100, 1/8 page ad: $65.

STUDENTS: Students please remember that businesses across the street from Oak Avenue have parking spaces designated for staff and clients. Students let me considerate by not using up their parking spaces. Thank you.

CLUBS: Are you interested in coding? Come join coding club tomorrow @ lunch in L-27.

Attention Seniors-Did you take Spanish 4, 5, or 6 your Sophomore or Junior year? If so, apply for the Seal of Biliteracy on the Davis District site by January 30. If you have questions, see Candelario in room O-6.

Curious about Hijab and what it’s like to wear one? The Muslim Student Association is hoting a Hijab day on Friday, January 31st. Experience what hijab is like by trying one first hand! We will also talk about what Hijab means to us and answer any of your “hard to ask” questions!

 Hey Women in STEM, we will be having a general meeting tomorrow, January 17th. We will discuss a new volunteer option and our upcoming mathalon.

Hey Students! Tomorrow is the mental health assembly in the IPAB at lunch. Please remember to eat your lunch before or after as food is not allowed inside. We will be sharing stories about mental health issues within our school to spread awareness. See you there!

Hey NHS! Registration for the spring semester starts on Tuesday, January 21st and runs until Friday, January 31st. Please bring $5, your unofficial transcriot, and your hours log from last semester if you have one. Come to S-12 @ lunch to register. See you there!

Hey hey hey it’s Friendship Day!. If you forget to turn in your permission slip, bring it with you to Friendship Day tomorrow. All aboard the Friendship ship! Toot toot!

Lunchtime Intramurals will be starting a Doubles Badminton tournament.  Find yourself a partner, and come sign up, and join the FUN!  Championship tee shirts and prizes for the winning teams! Sign ups with Mr. Ariola or Ms. Crawford in the Big gym at Lunch this week.

DHS Students- Share your story! Next week is Mental Health week at DHS, and student government is looking for student stories and experiences with Mental Health and wellness. CAREERS:

If you plan to attend community college in the fall, come to the Sacramento City College Application Workshop this Thursday, January 16 at 10:00 in the library computer lab where you will receive help completing the Los Rios online application.  Come to the Career Center to sign up.
